THE GENESIS OF LIFE In the beginning, God created heaven and the earth The earth was without form and void, darkness upon her deep Upon the face of the water, His spirit walked God said let there be light and there was light The evening and the morning is the first day He made two lights to shine upon the world One by the day another by the night God made the firmament, the water He divided The firmament is heaven, He called The evening and the morning is the second day In one place the water under heaven gathered There sprung up grass and trees on dry land The water became the sea, the dry land earth God made the earth yield fruits after his kind The evening and the morning is the third day Under the firmament of heaven, God made the light To distinguish the day from the night By the day, He made the sun the greater light The lesser light, the moon He made by the night The evening and the morning is the fourth day God created great whales and every living creature that moveth In the water came fishes of every kind Birds were created and blessed to multiply the earth The world is beautiful and good in the sight of God The evening and the morning is the fifth day On the sixth day, the earth bringeth forth Cattle and creeping thing, living creature after his kind God created man in His image Man became a living soul, gave man life and breath Gave man and woman dominion over the earth God blessed the seventh day and satisfy it The greatness of all the work which He had made These mark the generations of the heaven and the earth God rested on the seventh day Which is called the sabbath day All Rights Reserved © Akan Udofia 2016 "Genesis 1:1-31" 1 Like |

A POEM FOR PASTOR DR W F KUMUYI By Joseph Ngunyor • THE RAINBOW � MINISTRY MAN � • The "man like a Rainbow". • Holding the bow and arrow. • Still on the go in the main bowl. • Clothed with a cloak not borrowed. • Raised to rescue the lost soul. • Living for the sole goal. • Hunting for the last soul; • That is still in sorrow; • Walking on the broad road; • That leads to endless horror. • Crying and pleading their freedom. • Striving and bringing in the Kingdom. • Pointing Jesus the hope of tomorrow. • That is the reason why I follow. A poem for (Pastor Dr. W. F. Kumuyi) The "Man like a Rainbow"� (Analysis of the Poem) The man like a Rainbow. The writer is submitting to the readers that Pastor Kumuyi has 'the five fold ministries' plus the ministry of Parenting and Administration making seven (the number of colours in the rainbow), hence the title "The "Man like a Rainbow." Holding the bow and arrow. (The bow and arrow is a symbolism used to indicate the full armour of God possessed by the Pastor) Still on the go in the main bowl. (The Pastor is not retiring but rather pushing to new heights not only ministering to the church or a nation alone but to the whole world- the main bowl) Clothed with a cloak not borrowed. (He possesses a unique ministry with emphasis on holiness and righteousness with an explicit and simplified teaching of the word that is neither precedented nor duplicated) Raised to rescue the lost soul. (He is raised by God with a focus on winning and establishing the lost souls to become saints and workers in the vine yard and to be rapturable) Living for the sole goal. (Pastor Kumuyi's whole life and ministry has all been "win, build and commission" men to make "heaven at last"  Hunting for the last soul; (Pastor kumuyi is restless and daily strategising to win, if it were possible the last unsaved soul in the world for Christ) That are still in sorrow; (Referring to those who are in inescapable sorrow being depraved in captivity by the devil) Walking on the broad road; (Because of their depravity, captivity and blindness, they are on the broad road that leads to everlasting damnation in hell) That leads to endless horror. (Talks about the indescribable horrors in the lake of fire for all eternity. ) Crying and pleading their freedom. (The Pastor is daily making supplications for salvation, healing, deliverance and freedom of the lost souls from the grip of Satan) Striving and bringing in the Kingdom. (This points out the tireless and relentless efforts of the Pastor to ensure that the Kingdom of darkness is depopulated and thereby populate the Kingdom of God) Pointing Jesus the hope of tomorrow. (The Pastor's message is centred on the Lamb of God - Jesus as central for the redemption and salvation of all humanity, the only hope of man's eternal relationship with God the Father) That is the reason why I follow. (The writer is stating clearly his disposition and decision of serving God in the ministry spearheaded by personality being described in the poem, that is Pastor (Dr.) W. F. Kumuyi. ©Joseph.Ngunyor |
