1st Corinthians 12: 8 - For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 - To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 - To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. I believe we are in the last days and there's going to be a mighty outpouring of the Spirit of God. This means many Christians are going to be endued with different gifts of the Spirit, and this is what motivated this write up. The gifts of the Spirit can be divided into 3 categories for better understanding. 1- The gifts of revelation. a - Word of knowledge b - Word of wisdom c - discerning of spirits. 2- The gifts of power. a - gift of faith b - working of miracles c - gifts of healings 3- The gift of inspiration ( utterance) a - prophecy b - diverse kinds of tongues c - interpretation of tongues. 5 Likes |

The gift of revelation. Word of knowledge - The word of knowledge is the supernatural revelation by the Holy Spirit of few facts out of the millions of facts in God's mind to an individual. It can be a revelation of the existence, condition, location of some persons, objects, place, e.t.c. It isn't the gift of knowledge, but the word of knowledge. It isn't knowledge of the Bible or knowledge acquired through diligent study, but a divinely given fragment of God's divine knowledge. It is not a faculty of man but a revelation from God. It can be passed from God to us through revelation, dreams, trance, Spirits inner voice, e.t.c. It is not gotten by our natural ability , natural learning, natural enlightenment or intuition, but supernaturally gotten from God at a given time for a given reason. Examples of the use of the word of knowledge in the scriptures. 1- John's revelation of the condition of the churches in his days at the island of Patmos, was a manifestation of the word of knowledge ( Revelation 1,2,3) 2- Ananias received in detail the revelation of Saul's conversion, the street where he was, the house owner, even Saul's vision as at the time ( Acts 9 : 11-12). 3- Elijah was encouraged by the word of knowledge from the Lord, when he was highly discouraged and thought he was the only true worshipper of Jehovah alive ( 1st kings 19: 18). 4 - To discover a man in hiding ( 1st Samuel 10:22) 5 - To expose a hypocrite ( 2nd kings 5: 26). 6- To reveal corruption in the early church ( Acts 5 : 3 -4) 3 Likes |

The word of wisdom The word of wisdom is the supernatural revelation of God's divine purpose. It is a fragmentary revelation of God's infinite purpose. It is a revelation of God's divine purpose and the communication of a fragment of it to man. It is the supernatural revelation by the Spirit and the unfolding of His plans and purposes concerning things, people, communities, kingdoms, nations, e.t.c. The word of wisdom can be manifested through the audible divine voice of the Holy Spirit, dreams, visions, e.t.c or through the supernatural gift of prophecy or tongues and interpretation. It is not a high degree of intellectual or moral efficiency. It is not deep spiritual insight and unusual understanding of the more mystical part of God's word. It is not administrative wisdom. It is not divine wisdom imparted into man as a natural ability, like the one used by Solomon to determine the mother of the child in 1st kings 3: 16-18. Many Christians confuse this and say it's the word of wisdom in manifestation, but this is not true, cos what happened here was actually Solomon using the wisdom God imparted into him after his encounter with God , 1st kings 3: 10-12. In my private study of the gifts of the Spirits, I have come to the conclusion that this is the best gift of all. 5 Likes |

enthronedbyGod1:"Now to each is given the manifestation of the Spirit, for the common profiting." - 1 Corinthians 12:7 The mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit of God, was promised circa 2000 years ago, this means many believers since then to date have already and have been endued with different modes and/or means of manifestation, if not all, of these gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is the Lord's doing that you are motivated to do this write up so to wake up the saints, to the realisation that, each and all of these spiritual gifts, of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, are for the common profiting, the common good, to benefit all or most about and is not for one's own personal profit or pleasure 3 Likes |

Examples of the use of the word of wisdom in scriptures. 1- To warn and guide people concerning future events or peril. The counsel and instruction given to Noah Genesis 6: 14-22. 2- To reveal God's plan concerning the future and those He intended to use. 1st kings 19: 15-17. 3- To reveal the acceptable order and manner of worship. Exodus 25 4- To declare God's future acts and Providence and his eternal mysteries. 1st Thessalonians 4:15-17, 1st Corinthians 15:51-57. 5- To unfold to a prejudiced sectarian God's universal offer of grace, Acts 10: 9-16. 6- To proclaim judgement on an erring king, 1st kings 21: 19-24. 1 Like |

Discerning of spirits It is the supernatural insight into the realm of the spirits. This gift completes the cycle of the gifts of revelation. Discerning of spirits possesses a much more limited range than the other 2 revelational gifts. It's power of revelation is limited to a simple class, which is the class of the spirits. It's operation is strictly to the realm of the spirits. It reveals the kind of spirits working through a person who is manifesting supernatural knowledge or power at the time miracles are being wrought. It isn't the gift of discernment as many mistake it to be , but the discerning of spirits. It isn't a spiritual thought reading as done by the Lord when He spoke about Nathaniel ( John 1:47-48). This was the word of knowledge at work. It isn't psychological insight. It isn't mental penetration neither is it the power to discern faults in others. Examples of the use of discerning of spirits in scriptures. 1- To deliver the oppressed. Mark 9:25-26, Luke 13:11-13. 2- To discover a servant of the devil, Acts 13:9-10. 3- To checkmate the plans of the devil, Acts 16:16-18. 4- To discover lying spirits , 1st kings 22:20-23. I sent a mail to omobobolamodupe@gmail.com pls reply or tell me if you are not the one and by the way help me interpret this dream pls. it was when i was very young i had the dream . walking along a road with my mum, i saw two goats fighting. I went to where they were and fought the two goats and beat them. I woke up from dream in the same dream and went to my mum in the next room. I excited narrated all that happenned to her and then, she said, 'I AM THE BLACK GOAT' and changed to the goat and started struggling with me on the bed and i was shouting and trying to excape. |

The "last days" spoken of by the prophets, even Joel in Joel 2 vs 28 - 33 took place almost 1900 years ago when God judged and condemned the remnants of Israel — the Nation of Judah — in line with His Old Law of Moses, as Peter confirmed on the day of Pentecost. Ther is no other pouring out of God's Spirit to take place and no other last day to come except the return of Jesus Christ and judgment day for all the sheep and goats in His Kingdom.  2. Those gifts were available to all sinners of the land—at the time, regardless of whether each believed in Jesus Christ or not— during the last days of God's Old Law of Moses, which happened about 1900 years ago after which God put a seal on prophets and prophecies/visions. Today, if you are not first born-again — born of water AND born of Spirit —, and if you do not seek first the Kingdom of God(Holiness) and God's righteousness, those gifts will continue to elude. |

Jesus Christ implore his disciples to pray to God for Holy Spirit! Luke 11:13 The Spirit of God has two things we must know: GIFTS and FRUIT The gifts are many so God's word always use plural when talking about that part "GIFTS" {1Corinthians 12:1} but singular when talking about it's "FRUIT" Galatians 5:22-23 According to Jesus himself the true God planted a tree of FAITH and that tree is Jesus Christ {John 15:1} there are many other trees (religions belonging to Satan and his demons) So after Christ died he was buried and the seed began germinating, the tree grew up after Jesus' resurrection and ascension to heaven and that's what is called Christianity till today. John 15:5-8 Just like all other trees (religions) Christianity has the GIFTS of spirit. To illustrate you will notice that trees do have lots of gifts like wide leaves, tick and tall, appealing sight, fragrance and many more. You will agree with me that there are lots of trees having all these gifts in like manner many religions have gifts like healing, prophecy, speaking in tongues, songs, beautiful places of worship and times of merriments. But no tree can produce more than just one FRUIT so no matter the similarities in gifts each tree has its own fruit that's why God's word often use plural when talking about gifts of the spirit but singular when talking about the fruit of God's Holy Spirit. Jesus emphasized that though Christianity will also have GIFTS of the spirit like other religions but it's by the FRUITS of these religions you will know Christianity out of them all! Matthew 7:16-18 So when Christianity was born like a baby all the GIFTS were observed by people who were alive during the birth of this religion that's why they acknowledged that a new religion has come to birth and they began calling the adherents CHRISTIANS! Act 11:26 Apostle Paul told Christians in Corinth that the gifts they're seeing in Christianity will soon cease {1Corinthians 13:8-10} because it's just a sign that the true God has approved this religion but it's the FRUIT of God's Holy Spirit that will continue as the IDENTIFYING mark of this religion {John 13:34-35} the One who planted this tree is LOVE {1John 4:8 compare to John 15:1} that's why Jesus emphasized much on LOVE! Mark 12:31; Matthew 5:43-48; John 15:12 So the FRUIT of God's Holy Spirit had nine qualities: LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, GOODNESS, GENTLENESS, FAITH, MILDNESS and SELF-CONTROL {Galatians 5:22-23} all these are the qualities of the tree called CHRISTIANITY but the greatest of these qualities is LOVE! 1Corinthians 13:13 |

The love of God for us John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. When Adam sinned, he lost the direct access he initially had with God. (Genesis 3) God decided to send his only begotten son (Jesus) to pay the price for our sins on the cross of calvary because of his love for us. When Christ resurrected, he restored all privileges that we once had and brought redemption to us all. All we need is to believe that he died for our sin and has once again granted us direct access with God. No longer through an intermediary! (Mathew 27:50-53). Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. If our earthly parents care so much for us, how much more our father in heaven! (Luke 11:11-13). God’s love for us is infinite. He has promised to supply all our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philipians 4:19). Prayer of Salvation Lord Jesus, I accept and acknowledge you as my personal lord and savior. I sincerely ask that you forgive my sins. Come into my life and pour out your spirit on me. By faith, I receive the promise of the father, which is the holy spirit. (John 14:16) I thank you for the price that you paid for me on the cross of calvary. Thank you for my redemption. I pray that your power, grace and favor will abide with me now and forever more. Amen. |
