By the time the government finally quenched the fire of the church (which I know will be very very impossible) the whole country will then see the evil the church have bn preventing from taking place in the land.

You are free to believe me or doubt me.
Pple have bn firing the church cos of the fake men among them. Is that a good reason to throw the baby away with the bath water?

There are so many quack and fake doctors. Have they asked the government to close down hospitals.
Fake Engineers everywhere. Buildings are collapsing. Have they closed down engineering firms?
There are many fake Lawyers, but no one is calling for the closure of Law firms. There was a popular lawyer that was arrested then. He practiced law for about 15yrs. Represented clients in many cases. Won many cases but he was a fake lawyer. Never attended any law institution. Was just a clerk in a lawyer's chamber. From their he opened his own chamber.
There are still many fakes like dat but no one is calling out for their closure.

When our requests are granted, it will den clear in our eyes the grievous mistake we have made.

All these fraudsters parading as men of God, how much did you invest in the church to claim it's yours?

Nigeria is a hypocritical nation. Small businesses pay their tax, civil servants and everyone pays their tax, but the church which is a money making entity doesn't want to pay it's own. What example are these religious bodies setting out?

You fly private jets, buy Rolls-Royce phantoms at the detriment of the nation but don't wanna pay a small percentage to the country that empowers you.

In Germany, any citizen that identifies as a Christian pays 89 Euros monthly, these monies enable the economy grow, why do we do things differently and expect excellent result in Nigeria?

Oyedepo has been restless since this CAMA issue and I hope president Buhari sets this initiative to the max.

Give onto Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.

God bless Nigeria.

No wonder most Europeans don’t identify with any religion...I now know why...why pay such money when I never chop belle full

They are particularly against a clause that allows govt to take over church, appoint managers and without opportunity to a court proceeding.

The church is not like Islam where the government has power over it. If ur Buhari thinks he is too much he should enforce the take over of church and see if we serve a living God.

Shut up. Church came before your Islam. We don't fund terrorism but charity works. Recent lockdown is a proof of what the church is doing in Nigeria. We came into Nigeria before Colonial masters who brought you governance.

What do you expect from unbelieving group of leaders ,they were not there when God called you ,they didn't understand the reason why he called you. They knew nothing about what you did to grow the church but all they are interested is the Govt of the Church..they don't know neither do they understand that God's Govt supersede secular Govt ..Those who want to burn will dare fire..let them be comparing Nigerian churches with European churches they will soon know that ours is raw faith ,undiluted power . Let God arise and let his enemies be scattered ..by the time God is true with the lawless people surely they will reverse themselves .

I don't care whether his church is a private business but as far as I'm concerned, no government can take over my (own) business that I built with my (own) sweat, time, and money.

They can take over OUR collective wealth and resources like oil and mineral resources since we have all chosen to be docile and weak. But you see the one I build with my (own) sweat? No government can take it. I'll rather burn it to the grounds.

The CAMA act is being looked at from the Church angle mostly but it does apply to Mosques, Clubs, Associations etc. It's a regular feature of more developed economies but our socio-cultural setting and religious values/style may make it difficult to implement without any stumbling blocks.

For instance, if someone builds a Mosque with the contribution of others who may have been appointed as Trustees, an adverse report by 1/5th of the members can result in the intervention of the CAC Registrar. In our society, if the Registrar at that point in time is a Christian, won't people raise eyebrows? Can anyone easily take over the running of Ogboni Club? Is it not possible for people to orchestrate circumstances to cause an intervention just to destabilise an organisation?

We need to be more careful in copying from other countries without giving due consideration to our peculiar circumstances.

Germany govt funded most of the Evangelist Reinhard bonnke crusades. Nigeria is 90 percent a Christian state like Germany. So if you introduce CAMA law you are inviting religious conflicts which you will not be able to manage because a Muslim who may be appointed as a head of the church will surely fight against the leadership of the church. Even now, in our country how many Christians are in the place of higher authority? The CAC director was a Christian because of this law she was sacked replace by one Abubakar a Muslim

Sir we have a serious religious problem in Nigeria unlike the UK. If you adopt CAMA law here Nigeria is finished. If the north don't want us to stay together
