Except you want to move God's residence permanently to earth, you have to admit that more than 144,000 will make heaven.

Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Notice the simple full stop after that verse? Nothing like "reside forever" after it. The inheritance of the earth part, I believe, is given more detail in Revelations 20:1-5.

Let's just read the bible the way it's put - and not try to add or subtract from it.

If you want to be my disciple, go and sell all your superfluous private jets worth multi million dollars. Use the sale earnings to erect free schools for the poor, free hospitals for the poor, free shelter for the poor plus free food and drinks for the poor. I am sure you don’t want this statement in Mathew 25:42(“For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink”) to be applicable to you! Once you do this, you will please me and will automatically become a heavenly candidate.

Shun all insatiability and wealth build-up because God doesn’t judge you based on those. Instead, you’ll be judged only by the purity of your heart.

alexleo: Here are a list of churches whose messages centres heavily on earthly things rather than heavenly. In these churches, the message of holiness and eternity is hardly preached. They centre much on messages that the world want to hear and need i say that the high level of greed and corruption that has enveloped our country since these churches came out cannot be compared to what it used to be in the good old days when these churches were not there? This is so because they have ignored the words of our Lord Jesus where he said - seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Today they make people to seek prosperity first. They keep telling them the benefits of giving their money to the church without reminding them that no matter the amount of money you give to the work of God , if you dont give your soul to him and live a holy life you are heading to hell. They are so much after the people's money that they cant preach the hard core bible truth so as not to lose them as members which automatically amounts to a reduction in their income. We are not suprised though , because Jesus forewarned us in the scriptures that in the last days many false prophets shall arise and shall deceive many in his name. Today the words of Jesus is being fulfiled as we see in most of these new generation churches. This doesn't give a pass mark to all the old generation churches as some of them have derailed too due to the influence of the new generation churches.

When you come out to say something, they tell you 'you dont have the holy ghost yet. Try to remember this, the holy spirit is always manifesting himself in anyone that made himself available to him.
I hear pastors say " the disciple did not have the holy spirit when they were with Jesus and did not perform any miracle" Why? By what what did they heal the sick, cast out demon and did wonders when JESUS sent them out in twos, telling them to dust off their sandals when anyone reject them. Jesus said Peter, flesh and blood did not reveal this to you. Revelation is manifestation of the holy spirit.
Break away from the bondage of doctrines you live by, its a big restriction when you cant check what is preached to you.
