I know a lot of us like me come to the art, graphic and video section to find something new everyday. And for some reason, things have become a little dry in the section for a long long time now. Only very few people upload their work (which I follow closely). Seeing other people do great things has a way of inspiring you to do more. I will be sharing some achievements of 2020 and what the plan is for 2021.

Here we go

This year, I completed a minimum 50 3D animation projects ranging from 3D music video to web ads to short stories. Highlight was Mario (the American rnb singer) showing a part of my 3D musical video on his IG story... He didn't know me anyway. Lol. But the artist I did the 3D music video for gave me enough credit and we are on the verge of starting another 3D music video for her single she's releasing by February. Perhaps Mario wenr through my IG page and found nothing there lol (I'm not a social media person like that).

I had the opportunity to be mentored (still ongoing) by Hollywood best (Executives from Disney, DreamWorks etc) on different aspect of animations, filmmaking and storytelling. Having the opportunity to meet one particular DreamWorks Executive was my highlight. And those session are too informative, it takes one to another realm. We are not allowed to mention names publicly. Also making friend with an American bestselling author and a producer was a blessing. He has had the most impact in my storytelling/filmmaking career in the 9 months. I learnt a great deal working on his animatics for a story he wanted to animate.



I was frustrated out of my fulltime job (with relatively good salary) by people who hated the truth about the toxic working environment they created. With many uncertainties, I decided to face 3D animation fulltime with a dream to open a 3D studio. Achieving that dream is closer than ever.


I (with my one man company - me), was able to partner with brands and company from USA, Isreal, Germany etc. I will not go into too much details here.


I invested heavily in mocap gears (body and face) to achieve the dream to start my 3D web series and look at the possibilities of a feature length 3D animated series. Specifically Noitom Perception Neuron for body mocap and a home made head rig from bicycle helmet, selfie stick and iPhone XR for face mocap.

I still need people with very specific 3D skills to partner with.... but urgently need a scriptwriter to join the team lol (not an average writer as I consider myself to be a little above average but I get easily bored writing).

Now I am not sharing the above because I feel I am at my destination. And no I am not rich (yet). I do not know when the next client will walk in through the door so I go broke often..lol. But there is fulfilment and many reasons to be positive. I hope this inspire someone to keep learning as I am also learning everyday. If someone told me this time last year that I will lose my job and still find fulfilment in other things and achieve all the above within a year, I would not have believed it. Let us pray 2021 will be greater.




2021 dream is to be involved in more storytelling and filmmaking in 3D of course (I seriously need partners) as it gets too boring working alone, with the hope that our work gets the required recognition all over the world.

2021 dream is to have enough contents to showcase in film festivals all over the world. The dream is endless. But let me stop here.

I'v started learning UE too. Well, it's not just within the Nigerian space, the entire continent is waiting for us to change the narratives. And yes, a good gaming system is a start. It doesn't have to be on the high side to learn.

Well for the body gear, you may want to check online for the price o. Check price for Perception Neuron 2.0. For the head rig, it cost me around 210k. 200k for the iPhone XR and 10k for the rest of the materials.

Perhaps you should look at your pocket first. But anything less than a 2gb VRAM may not be good enough. Like I said, I'm not an expert.

Thank you After my NYSC I am planning to buy Dell Inspiron 15 7559 Core i7. it has 16GB of RAM, 4GB Nvidia graphics card GTX 960M.
This is the only system I can afford for now.
But Later I will be aiming at MSI WS75 that laptop is a beast bad boy for any professional 3D job.. it has everything I want from a laptop as a 3D animator. But you know everything about 3D is expensive starting from the softwares, tools, gadgets and professional laptop.
One has to take it step by step.

What is your budget? I can give you an idea of what kind of laptop you can get. For editing, you don't need high-end gaming systems that people in 3D need but you need a system with a strong CPU, good ram. GPU of 1gb VRAM will not be too bad especially for faster rendering.


Note that I'm not an expert in this field. I can only talk from my experience. I've used all kind of PC on my journey as a 3D animator. Being a 3D animator with clients who are interested in finished work made me learn video and sound editing. What's your budget?
