I don't live in Nigeria and I really don't know much about the tribal issues there. However, I can tell from what I read onhere that tribalism is almost as deep rooted in Nigerians as religion. I just don't have enough experience to actively engage in a conversation about that without coming off as shallow. But yeah, it's something worth talking about and you can start by calling out tribalists while making conscious efforts to be objective yourself.

Ok... I actually re-read my post wondering the part that made you come to your conclusion. Are you sure you quoted the right post or you just wanted to type this regardless of the post you're quoting? I said he may or may not be a racist but pardoning a couple of black men on his last day in office is nothing to judge by; rather his policies or executive orders during his term as the president should be used. That's just a less shallow approach to the subject. That's all I'm saying. I wasn't arguing with you.

But how does not supportng Trump or agreeing with his policies translate to "so much hate"? Why would I need to have met the president personally to decide if I should support him or not? He's not about to marry my sister, so I don't need a personal encounter with him. Basing my support on any personal encounter would be going sentimental. I only care about his policies and how they affect my life. I'm not pro Trump and I honestly couldn't care less about who likes Trump and who doesn't; he's no longer the president.

Trump didn't ban all Muslim countries, he banned only those associated with terrorism,civil war n underdevelopment from right to "citizenship" not that they cant visit, live n work so i don't understand he hates Muslims. Nobody can prove if he's a racist or not either cos he took no stance on the issue. He's worked with some black ppl b4 he came into power n still d same when he was in power. Most people say he's because he didn't condemn d killers of George Floyd n support the BLM movement which some blacks don't believe in either. He said "When d looting starts d shooting starts" to prevent criminals from hijacking it., d media quickly branded him a racist to gain petty sympathy from d blacks but d truth is that he was protecting d people from huge loss. Back here in Nigeria during Endsars movement, if PMB had said same hoodlums wouldn't av hijacked d protest we wouldn't av witnessed the destructions n loss that followed. Yes he wasn't diplomatic, very terrible at handling issues which was evident in d "capitol riot saga" n d "China/Coronavirus saga" but Man was "Real" not plastic. Economy did great, Peace was restored in d middle East, took out that Iranian guy believed to be sponsoring terrorism, trashed d LGBTQ+ community laws n from d Force and that was expected cos that's one of d reason he was elected in d first place. He's a conservative not a liberal. He was an outsider who came in n defeated d cabals to become a president so having a lot of enemies was highly inevitable. Now to Biden.. this has been a politician all his life, he's been in d system n he's very diplomatic. Listened to his speech at his Inauguration, Beautiful! very similar to that of Obama at his first inauguration. I can't say for sure but i think his tenure 'll be just like that of Obama. Some say he's Antichrist. well we all know that he's a staunch Catholic n a liberal too so it's expected that what d Christians term "immoral " 'll be d norm again. Truth is d World loves Liberals so he won't have much enemies.

Nigerians do not understand racism. It is expected due to their situations. However this has nothing to do with Trump liking anyone, let alone black people. Those pardons were paid for. Bribery exists in America, but because it is the United States, you as a poor Nigerian don't understand how it happens. Trump said out of his own mouth that pardons were $2 million dollars (2,000,000 DOLLARS). No one is transporting bullion vans to Trump's home. The way Americans do things is done under the guise of "civilization". Nigerians are just learners in this world.

It is an outdated ability that gives a President too much power. People like Obama (even he had some controversial Pardons) and Bush used to the right way- to pardon nonviolent offenders like people on bogus sentences just for smoking Marijuana of other drugs. Most Americans I know would rather the President doesn't have that much power.

Let me ask you, if the Nigerian constitution allowed Buhari to pardon his friends, would you be in support? They would loot the country dry and pardon each other.
