It all depends on the kind of crowd you want at your wedding. If you want strictly 100 people then for a modest one as you said, your budget should be at least 1m

1m for hundred people, what and what will he buy to cost 1m. 2bags of rice wedding suit and wedding gown, probably 1 cow and the pride price, cake and minerals. My brother if u no get money, better talk ur wife to reason with u, carry the two family go church make man of God bless ur marriage. Then go and do menu menu with the people involve den take ur wife home.

Why should a man who knows that in a typical Nigerian society,a million will probably not be enough to cater for the whole process of the marriage ceremony especially the aftermath still want to marry?infact,people with insufficient finances should be banned from marriage,it causes problems and mostly brings children they cannot care for that will turn to criminals in the society especially with the nigerian multiple children mentality

Don't do any wedding,explain it to your wife to be,let her move in with you as your wife and wait till you are financially buoyant enough to do wedding

It depend on the tribe you are marrying into. If the womans' dowry is very low & a walk in the park, then you can do your wedding with just 300k. While you can use 100k for the whole dowry request by family (if her dowry is extremely low ) you can then go ahead to use the remaining 200k for your court & traditional wedding(which can be done that same day).

A parlour setting wont be bad for a budget affair. Invite only your immediate family and very close friends. Buy a modest and nice clothing within budget for your traditional outfit and rent your suit and ur fiance wedding dress for your court. Then Get a good & modest camera man to capture the day.The rest things like decoration of the house&make up for your bride can be done by family & friends.

Prepare a modest meal for your guest(family & friends) like small chops for starter( look for a friend or family thaat can do that at a very moderate price for you. A two basket of rice is enough to feed everyone..You can prepare small swallow for the elderly. Total number of invitees should not be more than 30 .

With that, you can manage 300k to marry ur bride.(That is if both families reside in Lagos or close to Lagos..Becos transportation is another cost on its own.

Secondly, Like I said earlier, it now depend from where the lady is from. A N300,000 is not even enough for the main dowry in some ethnic group.
