I finished viewing a video and a friend's WhatsApp status update, so this got me thinking; Are women really more intelligent than men as popularly believed?

From the foregoing, I personally think that women's intelligence are usually talked about in comparison to men when it has to do with their relationships with men. Comedians, public speakers etc will usually harp on this to make the womenfolk feel good.

Women are mostly smart and clever in a way that borders on being manipulative, and I think that's where I find it hard to accept that they're more intelligent cos being intelligent is more broad. Methinks, women's intelligence is more crude and selfish than that of men which is more refined and caters for the whole world. During school days, you will be hard pressed to find a class which a girl leads. There are intelligent girls but there are more intelligent boys. Even in various fields of human achievements, men have always held forte and led the way.

Time after time I have checked up on the world records with highest Intelligence Quotient (IQ), and men have always dusted their female counterparts. So I ask, are they making up these claims for the cameras? Are human intelligence only made to win arguments and other manipulative acts? Cos I know men do better in handling conflict resolutions and interpersonal dealings. Logic is inherent in men's behaviour unlike women who are more emotional. To be classified intelligent, you need to be very logical!! SO, WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING DO WE SAY WOMEN ARE? MORE INTELLIGENT? MORE CLEVER? OR MORE SMART??

No, we both have equal level of intelligence. But what you focus on is what determines if you are going to raise above AVERAGE or not.
Some women are more intelligent than many men, and some men are also more intelligent than a lot of women—focus is what matters most.

No popular belief holds that to be even remotely true. According to statistics, most women tend to hover around an IQ of 100 (average) with very little standard deviation, while men tend to have a larger variance; that is we are more likely to find men who are geniuses and men who are mentally challenged. The final average for men is about 3-4 points higher for women globally.

In practise, men easily outclass women in virtually every field requiring the application of native intelligence; from playing Chess to STEM research. For every Marie Curie, there have been 20 Albert Einsteins. This is still true even now that women are overtaking men in academic representation. The few remaining men still excel.

Of course, in all fairness to women's brains, men do tend to lag far behind when trying to analyse the plot of some third tier romantic Mexican drama or Telemundo serie. But I don't know whether you want to call that evidence of 'superior intelligence'.

By default many Women are more intelligent and mentally stronger than most men but in many cases they never develop their IQ to its full capacity unlike men. nature has made it so by default but what we notice is that many men go the extra mile to develop thier IQ through a lot of means such as education, extensive reading and reaserch and everday life experiences whereas the women get distracted by their beauty along the way. okonjo iweala and allison maduekwe are good examples of super inteligent women. take note of the lofty height they were able to attain in lyf. hope i made sence

I'd say a bigger percentage of women are more clever,in the sense that most women choose the area they wish to be smart in,but for men,they'd rather diversify their intelligence in different aspect's...

Unfortunately, one doesn't automatically need to be intelligent but disingenuous and or normal to carry out perfidious acts. Men only channel all their energy on what goes into their pocket (that is, they concentrate on making money).
Though little knowledge is acquired during this process, men are quite slow when it comes to thinking outside the box.


Women on the other hand are logical thinkers who without concentrating more on a particular thing, focuses more on acquiring versatile knowledge.
