The only thing worse than sin is guilt. Once you repent from any sin. You have to stop feeling guilty by forgiving yourself. If guilt lingers it cripples grace and mercy.

Guilt is your body "guidance system" warning and notifying you that, that which you have done has been recorded against you and has not yet been wiped out or blotted out!

For he whose sin is wiped away, (blotted from the records) no longer suffers from guilt!

What does "repent from any sin" mean?
The word "repent from sin" assumes a previous understanding of what Sin is, which is not the case with everyone. That is why instead of that message, Jesus in John 8 explains that in order to cease being a slave to sin, one instead has to accept and obey His teachings(Truth) and si be set free from sin by the Truth. undecided
