Am I Requesting Too Much From My Boyfriend? by chrishenzo: 7:29am On Apr 18, 2011
Hello all,

I have a mother that has been going through some great pains for more than 50 years now. Recently I have a boyfriend that will take care of my mother for the next four years. The name of my boyfriend is GEJ and my mother is Nigeria. There are some few things I would like my boyfriend to do for my mother.

1.) We have two friends that always pretend to love my mother but I think all they care is their self interest. The reason for saying this is that, I am yet to see other mothers love by these friends that are in good condition. Most of my formal boyfriends has dinned with these two friends and forgot to take care of me and my other siblings. Because of these, most of my siblings hate them to the core. Can my new boyfriend tell them that he doesn't accept nonsense from anyone. Can he tell them to be a true friend to my mother instead of agreeing on everything they ask him to do. Before I forget, the name of my two friends are Britain and USA. Also can he handle my past boyfriends(OBJ, IBB, Abacha's family, etc) who mistreated my mother

2.) The way things are now, my mother need a constant power to function well. It's children deserve more. The problem now is that many of my mother's children still buy gadgets that helps to generate power. But the funny thing is that they don't use most of these gadgets in their own mother's house. These gadgets are bad to help to the pollution generated from them. Can my boyfriend give my mother constant power and stop all this importation within the next four years.

3.) My mother has a lot of children and there is a big division within them. One of the best way to solve these issue is to enlighten them through what they hear and what they read. Can my boyfriend change the way many of my mother children view things. Can he change our educational system.

I'm asking too much from my boyfriend. I just want to start with these three above. I have already promise my boyfriend that I will contribute to the success of my mother's happiness. Can he play his own part well?

I guess your request is not too much. It's just that, I think your boyfriend (GEJ) hangs out with some dudes (PDP) that might have bad influence on him; and there goes the saying, "show me your friend. . ." If only your bf could consider being independent, bearing in mind the love he claims to have for you, I'm sure he'd be able to take some objective, bias-free and informed decision on how to help your mother get well. And as for your siblings, I'm sure they also pray for your mother's speedy recovery and are also ready to contribute their quota and be like the one big family you are, if and only if your mother would just be helped to recover soon enough.
