The deadly kidnappers launched an attack on the innocent and unsuspecting inhabitants of Agwa area of Chikun local government in Kaduna state at about 9pm, killing a young man named Ernest and kidnapping 5 people from 2 different families. Ernest happened to be the only son of the family. The gunshots that rented the air were obviously from sophisticated weapons. There was so much unrest as people living in that area had to scamper for safety. Some people living around that area claimed to have noticed strange movements of new bikes around 5pm on that fateful day.
This is not the first time such a thing is happening in the area. In December, a 40 days old baby, it's mother and brother were held captive for 3 weeks until 2 million naira was paid before they were released.
In January, 11 people from 3 different families were taken captive and each family paid atleast 2 million each before they were released.
In February, a woman and her sister were also kidnapped and released after an undisclosed amount was paid.
The government of Kaduna state should pls come to the aid of the people living in that area as they can no longer stay in their homes.
