My kid bro is just 22, but forgets things too much.it has being like dat since childhood now he is an adult but i see very little change,he does well in school to my surprise but send him on an errand he will never complete task without forgetting something.
I have scolded and beating him in the pa but to no avail.
Now i feel maybe i should maybe he needs medical attention please i need advice on how to help him.

My 59yr old dad is like that too....my uncle's say he forgets items wen running errands if five he remenber 3 if 6 he remembers 5......he says it cos he is stressed by instructions better u make a list.....from there he starts improving

Nothing is wrong with your brother, in fact, me and Him we are exactly the same thing.

What mainly causes it is contact imagination and thinking. While imagining alot of things, you froget somethings that you are supposed to do. During the imagination, you keep postponing what you are supposed to do till you forget.

One of the remedy is to give him list, use a to do list.

Best of all encourage him to do what he is suppose to do immediately he remembers it.
