Meaning the northern and eastern regions were getting over 4million and over 2million pounds then compare to mere 500,000 for western region.

Literally, Southwest developed the whole Nigeria with Cocoa revenue.
As a matter of fact, Southwest developed Southern Cameroon. From records, Southern Cameroon generated almost nothing but received much more allocation.
Southwest is the giant of Africa.

No one was talking about Bola Ige- the true Chief Justice that wanted a real justice in Nigeria. He was Assassinated..

So sad!
The pains of Bola Ige death is still in our heart till date...last time I visited their family house, they still mourn him till date...

That is why the country is always shaking whenever a Yoruba Presidency is on the horizon. It happened during Awo’s,Abiola’s time now Tinubu is on the horizon. The country is about to fall apart.

I pray it does.

We need to spread this pictures around on Twitter maybe our people will wake up and realize that we have always been marginalized in Nigeria and it's time to be on our own.

But you ignore the superiority of your Yoruba lord that you love to insult. This was before the discovery oil n today Igbos are still flocking into Yoruba to scavenge from the wretched east, no wonder Azikwr wanted to be premier of western region by all mean.

Yorubas were being Marginalised

We will not take it

grin

Truth is our Forefathers greatly valued areas of abundant Fertile Agricultural Land, plentiful Water and Sea Coasts and fought many Wars to Secure those areas for Posterity

Whenever Yorubas were forced to Migrate as a result of the many Wars of the 18 th and 19th Century they didn’t just wander around blindly the Oba of the Community would first send out Scouts to find areas with abundant Fertile Land and Water that could easily sustain the whole Community in Future and Was easy to defend in War against enemy attack

That was how Towns Like Abeokuta and Ibadan came into existence both of Which were natural Fortresses surrounded by hills and rocks ,fertile land and abundant Water

The shame of it was the number of people that were sold into Slavery because of those Wars and to Purchase more Weapons from the Europeans at the Coast

West has been marginalized even before independence, yet we aren't crying everywhere.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo, you are the best of the best, ever!
Only him put the region first.
Unlike some people that can sell West to any tribe for their personal gain.

This has really affected the region because we are getting far less than deserved.

Did you see what they generated from North? They generated 32k pounds from North, compare that to 11k pound from the East , am sure you'll see the difference clearly

Play victim and blame game as usual with your barren redmud landlocked region grin
JosephXavier:
The East has been stunted by the activities of Biafran war and since then, the Fulanis have done everything to strangulate and impede growth in Eastern part of Nigeria

No Federal establishment or project has been cites in the east and they use only second Niger bridge for campaign for over 8 years

The only growth you see in south east is the individual efforts of easterners

**Onitsha being the biggest market in West Africa was built by local business men

While federal government is building airports Even in Minna that doesn't need one and are currently using theirs as grazing field for cows, Anambra state that has the largest commercial activities after Lagos built theirs by the state, and even Sam Mbakwe airport in Owerri was built by individual donations from easterners

Railway now run from West to North and even as far as Niger Republic but that of southeast is still being argued about after so many years

Anambra is an oil producing state but FG refuse giving them certification to build refinery but will instead prefer to invest in Dangotes's airport

This has really affected the region because we are getting far less than deserved.

We have always gotten far less than we gave as shown from the pictures.

Only a cerebral leader like Awo could have made magic with the little we got back.

We still have leaders like that in Yorubaland and the only way they can come to the fore is if we dismantle this entity called Nigeria and we go our separate ways.

Awo was able to shine because of regionalism among many other things.

People like Tinubu are truly selfish otherwise they'd be clamouring for an independent Yoruba nation.

This isn't true..

Going by this map, current day Taraba and Adamawa were under the Eastern region which was never so.
The Eastern region borders stopped at current day Cross Rivers state.
Also, Kwara was under the Northern region.

I am trying to understand how you all think.

Your immediate representatives are never the problem. If actually used their allocations for the benefit of their people, Nigeria would almost be a developing country..but nah
