Sin is as defined in God's Law , which for those of the Old Covenant people, those of the bloodline of Jacob, is documented in the 613 statutes given to them through Moses by God.

We don't know that murder was not declared sin back during the time of Abel... we are not informed of the details of any Covenants God may have made with the people after they left Eden.

Leviticus 20 lists the various punishments for various sexual sins, and not the various forms of adultery, as you claim.
