What you are equating it to was termed ADULTERY or FORNICATION, not concubinage. The affair the OP refers to is not being a concubine. The girl does not even know if the man is married according to the story, she does not know his family and his family does not know her. The one in the Bible, everybody know themselves and their position. They know Bilhal no be wife, na concubine. Leah na first wife, Rachael na second wife. All of them know and live with each other.
