I used to gamble my pocket money on three card "eyi jẹ eyi o jẹ”, that 3 card gambling game where you double your money or lose if you pick the wrong card that was very popular in Lagos in the 80s. I'd start at the top of Adeniyi Jones and all the way to Ikeja.

I worked out they can't handle 3 cards for too long without identifying marks appearing on them, so I just needed to watch long enough to note the mark on the winning card then I'd lay my stake and win.

The sad thing was, after winning like 3 or 4 times they always refused to play on so I'd have to move on to the next guy, but unfortunately after a while, their tout agents would follow me and inform others not to play against me, that I was one of them who knew the juju, so I'd move on to Oshodi and play again till I was refused play there too.

My allowance was like ₦30 in those days, and I'd have 10 left after swimming Saturday and Sunday at Airport Hotel, but by the time I got to school, I'd have a cool ₦100 or more. I was so pissed off when police clamped down on those scammers!

But no, I never gambled with my school fees because that's just like gambling with one's future which is just plain stupidly very dumb.

Yes o bet 9ja virtual shop my final year sch fees,I come do extra year with the help of my mum who hide it from my dad, bet 9ja virtual still shop my project money na my pastor help help me pay the money bet9ja chop my clearance form money na my friends contribute money still help me, bet9ja virtual still shop my money to travel go house na one woman na give me money take go house, all my NYSC allowee enter for bet9ja virtual, as a copper I was always broke I even beg my co corper money for 2 years after service I didn't border to look for a job I was only focusing on bet9ja virtual why my mates has gone far and some has even settle down . 2019 September 18th 6:48pm was the last day I played virtual. Some of you are so priviledged! From primary, I was working for my school fees, so nobody send me if I chop my own money. I just knew school finish be that and I'd be here now wailing with the skool na scam crew!

By '73, Ikorodu Road was the only route out. We'd leave home like 5am and not be out of Lagos by noon.

I am of course exaggerating small, but we always arrived in my Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun well past 10pm. And no, we were not walking!

Ikorodu Road right through Lagos was a blessing and a wonderful playground while being built. And Lagos Ibadan Expressway made me my first what seemed like a million naira at the time. I sold 4 eggs for ₦1 and 50 kobo canned Coke at the tollgate, and damn the pain when kombi bus stopped on my foot.

In fact, after looking everywhere for ₦15 registration fee for Nov-Dec GSCE which concluded with me walking from Oshodi to Ketu and which I never managed to get, I ended up spending the next 24 hours in prison at Ketu Police Station because I refused to give ma my kerosine stove that I had scavenged from a rubbish heap.

One of my classmate used his neco exam money to buy second hand Timberland � then.

Back then i dey multiply my sch fees times 3 bill them for house.

So i dey always get enough to flex and go ventura or go spices or abe igi or Platinum.

After i was a good son in year one wey hunger wan finish me...my room mates show me how to forge school receipt.. plus signature & bank teller slip.

So if budget for resumption na normally 60k excluding accomodation i bill them 180k for house with receipt proof.

My years for uni na just chop life, drink , Fvvck, use latest phones. Watch movie.

Bought SEGA with my school fees, bought ps1 again with my school fees... Wasn't allowed to write exams... I repeated ss1 twice because of game addiction.
