This female gender agenda / campaign against rape & rapist and girl-child abuse people are trying to fortify is a very good cause

Perhaps, it is pertinent to look deeply, into the socio-cultural factors that influence or trigger the so called felonies & misdemeanors committed against the so called 'vulnerable' gender...the Female Gender!

Either we like to believe it or not, female gender is a vulnerable gender in comparison to her male counterpart and the early people through divine guidance have been able to identify this fact, in due course, availed some protective measures, by means of culture, doctrines, cautioning, training, thereby, provided a befitting model or lifestyle to survive the envisaged ordeal a girl child/female might avoidably encountered, during a lifetime!

Perhaps, we derailed!

We derailed from the good cultural practices that early people handed over to us while we opted for the western/foreign culture we couldn't handle nor sustain, this gradually wiped off our heritage over the years and here we are today.

It is popular in our political system too (topic for another day) ... Corruption came and conquered! It took a better part of our lives and livelihood!

Hitting the pointer of this article, the picture of the lady inserted in the newspaper attached, directed my mind to this write up and I want to take advantage of same to remind us (parenting folks), how we were brought up.

I can remember vividly how my mum used to emphasize to our only girl-child (sibling) on 'how and how not to' sit down in the public or anywhere, back then, when we were growing up...with stern warning fah!

As if she saw the evil, careless/care-free sitting position, standing, walking, talking, behaving, dressing/dress-code; 'all', brings, to endanger a female gender.✍

Psychologically, a sexually activated male is so sensitive and reactive to lady's body, either fully grown or of the one growing into adulthood.
Men manage this situation in three major dimensions; 1. Full Competence 2. Average Capacity and 3. Very low or no ability to Control.

My targeted audience (parenting folks) should understand all the three dimensions but the third one is my focal point here...we need to protect our female gender from the men/boys that belong to the third group - Very low or no ability to Control.
They have low, very very low or NO ability (at all) to control self when they are triggered by any weakness of a female gender and or even when they notice any attractive/sensitive part of a female's body - strange blood rushes to their head, attacks their brain, by that, they get confused and lose control in entirety. They become uncontrollably desperate, they want to have their ways by crook and then, by force. They don't mind going to jail after committing a crime; they want to satisfy their urge; the lustful rush for sex.

They want to massage their ego among other brewing chemistry within their body system. May God never make our females encounter nor fall victims of any of them.

Now, I want us to take note of the inserted picture of that girl, the way she is positioning her private part even when covered with clothing materials. The revealed part of her body (uncovered) is not as attractive as the part that she even covered, rather showcased/publicised the V word in the clothing material, by the way of calling attention to her private part, for the world to see, in such a way that there is a communication between the picture and the reader's mind - the truth is, ANY man in the aformentioned 3 categories (even a woman will either notice, condemn or admire, that's just the truth) will be attracted to that part of her body but instinct will tell everybody to act accordng to the category he belongs to; the first (the competent) according to the list up there will condemn and move on, the second list (average) will pay little attention; either admire or condemn and move on. Brethren, the third group with lowlife will not Let go. This group is not limited to the common rapist on the street but also, the ones that will go all the way to trace and reach the 'exhibitor', entice her with or by any means available and satisfy his sexual urge.

There is a lot to explain on this but let me just conclude by stating that:

1. There is need for us as parents, to keep all our eyes on our girl-child without assuming ANYTHING! 'A ti kekere la n ti pe'ka iroko...' (tame them when you can)

2. As females (either girl-child or adult female), we must not see temptation as liberalism... If you think you are free to dress and behave anyhow you feel like in the public, remember that there are always the third category who are there to satisfy their evil urge before the hands of the law gets hold of them....let's help the law so that law can help us in turn, at least in our own reachable way.

3. Let us return our lost cultural values; we have tried the foreign ones, most we have in our society now is; corrupt leaders and unguided youths resulting to rape, killings, embezzlement, fraud, distrust among other negative vices.

We are all victims, let us retrace our steps!✍

My opinion, you are free to add yours.
