Health educators aren't recognized in Nigeria.
To start with, What's Health Education??
Health education can be defined as the principle by which individuals and groups of people learn to behave in a manner conducive to the promotion, maintenance, or restoration of health. It is also a profession in which people are educated about their health.
It focus more on the preventive aspects of health rather than the curative aspect of health.
In Nigeria of today, Doctors and nurses are performing the duties of health educators which is really affecting the employment and recognition level of those who studied the course.
I realized that if we focus more on the preventive aspect of health then we will have lesser work in the curative aspect of health.

To solve this issue, The Professional bodies of "Health educators" need to be strong and redefined their principles and guidelines.
They need to be active and not be intimidated by other professionals in the health line.
If they can do this, it will help in reshaping the profession as a whole and give room for active participation.

Do you need volunteer(s) for the program?

Yes I/We do need and work with volunteers. However, I am still trying to get sponsorship(s). The outcome of that would determine how many more people I can take in, in addition to our permanent local volunteers.

Lol. I totally understand. How is the freelance hustle going? I haven’t forgotten at all, but Nigeria is currently unsafe. I do not want the safety and welfare of many to lie in my hands.

I know right. What of Medium? I know it helps build portfolio for writers. Abi am I getting it mixed up?

It isn’t Lagos and that is where the problem lies.

What is your course of study if you don’t mind me asking? I have an idea going by your post.

Yes, someone told me about "Medium" too. I downloaded it already, trying to get familiar with it.

Oh. I thought it was Lagos

I am studying "Health Education"

It takes some getting used to. I downloaded it too but I wasn’t dedicated to it. Ended up deleting it at some point.

Nice @ health education. I saw this role of a VA for a health & fitness business. Once in a while you see a few of them. Just hang in there, something good would come out of it.

It is not Lagos at all. I mentioned it, maybe it wasn’t to you. smiley smiley
