Good day and barka De sallah to Muslims in the house.
One of my mentors, Mr Tajudeen, is a committed Muslim ( a teblik ). He has been very good to me and has represented the good teachings of Islam in our relationship and dealings. What I'm yet to understand about him is that most times when I visited him with some material gifts to appreciate his love and kindness, he refused them, telling me 'all praises and thanks belong to God'. This sallah period, I'm thinking of gifting him the Holy Qur'an. But being a Chritian, I'm considereing if he will accept such. Several times, I heard that Islam does not permit non-Muslims to holding or touching the Holy book. For this, I need knowledge on the position of the Quran or the Hadith for a muslim receiving the Holy Qur'an as a gift from Christians.

A Christian giving a Muslim quran is strange to me but not a big deal

Doesn't look like a big deal to me though. I am a Christian, and I am the one responsible for the Modrasa (Quran School) of some kids. I make sure to buy then all they need including Quran, and the Alfa knows I am a Christian, so if it's something that is bad, I am sure he would have called my attention to it.

Any person that finds a problem with this has a tendency of being a religion fanatic and extremist.
