Hello, please I am coming into Bradford in a few days with my 6 year old daughter. She has finished pry 1 here in Nigeria and is currently moving to pry 2. Is there anything I need to get from her current school in Nigeria? Also, will she be able to get admission into a primary school in Bradford for this term? Any tips on how to apply for her?

I think it's too late to get in this term...... Term starts next week..... Unless the school is under subscribed, getting an under subscribed school in UK, is like hoping Churchill is the current Prime Minister...........

School admission is usually undertaken via your local council, when you get in, visit local school's within your area....... If you don't ask, you shall not know........ wink

Accept the offer, finish your studies and take up the job/switch visa. I believe the organisation making the offer know the applicant is on tier 4 and needs sponsorship hence the offer.
I know people who got offers with sponsorship just after the end of their 1st semester around January/February for September/October start.

I’m familiar with this scenario but I don’t know of anyone who switched midway his/her studies and that is the basis of my question.

This might have been discussed previously.
Amazon partnered with some training schools to offer a 12 weeks tuition free course on AWS that’s guaranteed to land an entry role.

It’s focused on unemployed or underemployed people. You don’t need a STEM degree to enroll, but you must be a resident in the UK and have right to work.

So, I think it would be useful for dependants who are struggling to get a job in the UK.

You can check out the companies carrying out the training in the UK here.

Hello gurus I need urgent help because I’m so confused and worried.
Weeks ago I booked British airways to Newcastle via wakanow, I thought I will get Airbnb for quarantine there but all the ones I contacted some things in the house are shared so cant be used for quarantine.
I was later told of a family friend that offered a place for quarantine but he stays in Liverpool, I really want to go there but I don’t know the route to follow considering my flight path
The flight will arrive at Heathrow at 2:30 pm But leaves for Newcastle by 7 pm
1. will I be allowed to drop in London and get a train to Liverpool considering my luggage also as a first-timer.
if yes can you advise me on how to navigate, please?
If no will I get a train back to Liverpool in the night or it has to be the next day morning.
Thank you.

Dante is disappointing everyone here. Check their reviews online. I used them too, and I was lucky to get day 2 results in less than 24hours. Test to release results didn’t come till now. Day 8 results too, no show till now.

They also don’t respond to emails and have no customer care line for complaints. Stay away from them.

Oh really sorry you had that experience. What I realise is avoid doing Day 8 on a Sunday as its most likely going to affect your result. The government website stated On or after day 8, so push to a working day when the samples are going to be collected and check the collection times on the box to ensure its not past for the day.

Also I believe I have see a website that stated one may stop quarantine after Day 10 once you have done the Day 8 test .

You don't really need anything asides the Birth Certiifcate and the year she is placed is determined by when she was born. I.e before or after September of any yr. E.g your child born after Sept 2016 will probably be in Reception while those before Sept 2016 will be in Yr 1.

Regarding admission, in year applications can be tricky but not impossible, basically your house, location and local authority will determine the school and if your choice(s) are over-subscribed then they will be placed in the nearest school available, which may or may not be a good school.

The good thing is some schools will confirm availability for your child before you waste that slot when applying. So get a house, research schools you want in the area, speak to the council, shortlist schools and call them up before submitting your 3 or 5 choices to the Local Authority.

Good evening my people

Is it possible for a child to be offered admission in reception by council, only for the school to say that they are full at the start of the school when the admission has been offered and accepted?
Because I don't understand again.

Thats odd though, you can call the council to clarify where the mixup is. Could be an admin error or sth

Q1. I am an advocate of moving together once and for all and starting the journey together, but moving separately doesn't mean visa denial as long as all documentation is right. Although approval length may vary.

Q2 . Depends on the warehouse and hours worked, not less than UK minimum wage £8.92 and could be anywhere up to £15 if you do more hours

Q3. If no kids 1 bed flat is fine for you both, enjoy the closeness grin grin, if more than 1 kids 2bedroom ground floor flat or house

Q4. Be supportive, kind, prayerful and all others will fall in place

Just search for the council number from their website and call them...I got admission for my son in term so it's possible...she should get admission to year 2. You dont need any documents from the nigerian school really..they will just send you an email with a link to the forms you need to fill...you will have the option of choosing a school close to your current address so try to browse and find out the school that fits your criteria
