At first it was murmurings, at other times i heard my name mid sentence and finally some silence. The silence then extended from a one minute thing to hours of quietness and myself i was rooted to the same spot not knowing what to do. Time crept by steadily and soon enough first cock crow around 4 am she returned again bit this time she was in the Bathroom and was causing a nuisance because she called out to me asking me to bring the sponge from before and the current one and come and have my money and that it was getting too heavy for her to be carrying about. I didn’t answer and she started sobbing. Morning proper and she was still somewhere in the house and wouldn’t leave and the sobbing didn’t stop. It went on and on till i called Baba and told him what was up and the situation i was in.

Baba made me understand that I didn’t have a choice, I’d have to go do the bath, give her the former sponge and the new one and face the consequences for going against simple instructions and spiritual doings. ( for the first time i was mad at this Baba of a thing. I told him he and his gods were becoming too demanding and what they demanded from me was always on the extreme. He tried to say something i cut him short and asked him to come try if all the tasks and demands were that simple, he tried to chip in something and i cut him off. I dropped the call. I went back to face my reality, went back into the house, the sobbing still continued, I thought i was being clever and this time i switched bathrooms, did the bath, the corpse still find me come the new bathroom, stood face to fave with me, very angry face She had, i gave her the old sponge, them the new one. She dropped the new one (yes because i still had stacks of cash from the previous money she brought) then vanished. I thought that was the end of it or probably i was being pardoned or something, i got to my bedroom and as usual more sacks of cash. I looked at the money with contempt. Then the bedroom door that i left open when i came in closed itself. And then several hands beat the living daylights out of me that i passed out that morning in a heap of the money they’d brought( the beating was too much that i used the sack hat contained money to try to cushion the unseen hands that meted out my spiritual punishment for going against the code. They beat me for close to 2 hours and by the time they left, i had physical marks from the (pankere I guessed they used in fixing me up)

Now i had to go out and spend all the money again in two days and I had a debt sponge debt i needed to pay. To avoid a repeat of back to back beatings, i proceeded to splurging away all the money. Bu the time I left the house in my car, mysteriously the cain marks had disappeared but not the pain. I got to chill out with them boys and it was plenty merriment as usual, finny thing was, i was in pains from the beating, i was splurging money and even dashing it out at freewill but i was really in pains. I did plenty giveaways but e just be like say the money no dey lean. Omo i no spend pass one sack that day and i had like 5 more in my home. The next morning, I attended a party i wasn’t invited to and spend millions on the Band that played, people didn’t ask questions as to who I was or if i was invited, the dancefloor filled up as soon as i started spraying the band money, the floor was literally littered with cash and people wanted to pick. I left the party and headed home, on my way home, I drove past a bustop, before I approached sef i saw people waiting for a bus , i drove past them throwing money in the air and watched in my rear view as people scrambled to pick. At the end of the day, i still had sacks of money that needed to go. The hour would arrive and I’d get beat again. Tears trickled down my fave at the thought of being punished for failing again.

I went to a pastor in my area and narrated things to him.. from A to Z. He then gave me a space in the church to stay while he secured an appointment with the family members. Pastor came through, took me to then, i confessed my sins and the mourning for my mum started again afresh after i got the words out of my mouth.. Olori Ebi so angry then used a cutlass to pursue me out of the house and as i was running for dear life, i saw him cursing and banishing me from the family as i ran. I got to a safer distance, looked back and the ever standing olori ebi was on the ground, in a pool of his own blood. One bike guy rammed into him so bad, the shock and loss of blood. Okori ebi was no more.. seeing what happened from where i stood and how people gathered him and were trying to apply first aid, i knew they’d come for me. I stopped a bike and let him whizz me away. I’m so sorry! The next morning, pastor informed me that Olori Ebi didn’t make it and he was gonna be saying other things.. i just left him standing there. I had to run again, i ran.. i left Ikotun that same morning. I checked into a buisness center and decided to use their internet to trade the btc i left in my wallet. Omo i was damned sure it was the same password. E no login. I tried and tried and tried snd for security purposes, the website locked me out citing the need for additional information!!!! And for security purposes no way!! I had no cash elsewhere or in person. So officially i was broke. But till this day, Abayo still dey threaten me ontop the imaginary money him talk say i dey owe am or anywhere wey i see mad person or people, i gat run or else, if na woman, dem go claim say i Bleep dem no pay.. if na man werey, them go claim say i dey owe them or i collect their wife.. I basically became a fanny magnet that attract mad people to myself.

Its been 3 years, i lived on the very very very fast lane and i crashed very hard. No home and no family, the whole world living in and with vanity.. had i known!!
