Was I ever broke?
Damn I was always broke...my uncle who was to see me through school became lackadaisical about my education because I refused repeating a level in vet medicine & changed to biology..saying Biology was a useless course
Sometimes I would resume school with nothing... I remember cooking rice most times with just Maggi and salt... Eating just only bread a day and sleeping till the next day... I became so emaciated till the point my course mates noticed and started begging me to eat to stay alive..
Big ups to V.... (Nigga squated me in hostel 100L,200L and final year)
Tho I was emotionally abused and sturvs that made me leave home... I still appreciate my Mom...thst woman came through for me in every little way, if not na hunger for kill me
She'll package Yam and grinded pap and other food stuffs and send to me all the way from village

Going through that school broke wasn't easy...I couldn't afford my final year school fees self... I was supposed to have an extra year but God came through for me.. I'm seeing my name on graduation list... Don't still know her
I'm thinking it's a mistake... I pray they don't remember before I go to serve... Still owing that school truck load of money... About 60k in all

Don't ever attempt schooling in 9ja if you no get sponsor or truck load of cash

May be, Na to drop out, as I heard you can't defer a semester without paying your school fees.. How true is this... I can't afford the fees due to the increments in fees by state universities..

Op should I say you read through my mind. This is what I'm battling with currently. I have been without food for almost three weeks now. I went to an ATM stand here on my campus to check my account balance... Thinking of manna from heaven (I had done this many tines over) Coz I was terribly hungry and my chest hurts like hell. I solely depends on God, my mum and the little my friends give me but I can't at all time bother them, they too are students like me.

And to My girlfriend, you're a world to me even though I conceal this from you

I went to bed yesterday With empty stomach , exam is fast approaching (time table already out).


I pray this time should be a past of me that will inspire others.

Mehn, school life was rough. I was so broke in year 2 that I couldn't afford transport to school again, not to talk of feeding.

Brokeness hit me so heard that in exams I was chased out of the hall because I couldn't pay school fees,but before they chased me out, I have already answered half of the questions and submit just like that. My next paper was in 3 weeks time and I was able to rally around for the school fees....

Year 3 and 4, I was not lacking in food again because my late cousin join me as my roommate.
