Wow.
Some people will use this info to sneak into the forest to hunt them down. Nigerians can destroy their fathers house for morsels. They will pluck out their mothers eyes for 10 pieces of silver, They will behead their neighbours child for a loaf of bread talkless of an animal in the forest.

as i see the tusk, i automatically feel sorry for these poor elephants.... better they remove the tusks and let these elephant graze happily than some dumbaaass do the unthinkable.

I think that's the best thing to do, south Africa are doing that to their Rhinoceros to avoid just butchering them by tusk hunters

You see that military man? Na them dey kill the elephants. I swear.

Then the sell the tusk to the chinese

In the 90s ,the military killed one in that area. What is holding them back is that they forest is so thick with swamp and Atlantic ocean behind. So is difficult for them unless it keep coming out where they do farm.

Please don't kill these animals, they have important roles they play in maintaining the eco system and environment we live in.
We can keep animals for food, not hunt wild life.

OnlyDeCapPlease:

Amazing stuff. But how come the locals did not know that they had elephants? These are massive animals and they make a massive trumpet noise. How come nobody knew that they were in a certain area. What else is out there that we don't know?
They have always known ...it's not new

That is still wickedness. I saw a rhino that was still alive after horn removal, and though it was still grazing it was living in pains.

go and ask the indegines of ikom ogoja etc.

Army usually knows when the elephants migrate, they lay ambush and kill them with Ak47 shots.

Then they remove tusk and sell to the Chinese.
You no go understand shaaa

What Nigerians destroy their fathers’ houses for morsels? Are you referring to the same Nigeria where fathers houses abounds everywhere and you cannot move for fathers houses impeding upon your line of sights in towns and villages? The Nigeria I grew up where people work or hustle very hard daily to create Fathers Houses legacy for their children or travel to all sorts of godforsaken foreign countries to work so they can send money back to their loved ones and extended families?

Please, if you’re a Nigerian and you experiences have been ones of depravity, own up to your misery by personalising your personal suffering. If you or your relations destroy and murder yourselves for morsels, I’m sorry for you. If you’re not Nigerian then stop expressing as facts what you don’t know or don’t superimpose the depravity you’re accustomed in your country on Nigerians, we’re not the same as you. Africans are not all the same.
