Photos are saved on your device not app. A gallery app is just for viewing it in an organized way. Except the app in question syncs all your files to its server and deletes backup on your phone. Then try contacting the developer. If not, then your photos are still on your phone @slylg

you can still access it through xender app and send to pc from it or with root right

Possibly. Once the pictures aren't showing in the gallery anymore, xender might not work though. Root might also work, but it's a more technical version of the file manager method.

I woke up to realize that all the pictures I saved in my internal memory is no longer in my gallery, only the old pictures in my memory card are there.
From my camera pictures to screenshot, everything gone!
I've just found out the gallery I used is no longer on play store.
Please, how do I recover my pictures.
It will be so painful to lose them.
Help out please.

Please, attention of moderators Honsule, Dragnet, puskin.
you can still download the app on third party websites

Aside gallery app, don't you have a file manager? Your phone should come with one. Gallery is just to organise, manage and view your photos, it is not your phone storage. Except the app developer used the backdoor to delete your files, your photos should still be on your phone

Is you a tech or IT sorta person? Your choice of words has that written all over it.

Your point dosent correlate.

Lol do you know how an app works and how play store works.

Playstore cannot uninstall the app.

It means that gallery is a virus and has violated Playstore services hence they removed asap.

Probably the app deleted your cloud photos or sold them to porn industry.

And kept a few at internal memory

Or other use case.

You still have them on your phone, what you need is an app to view them.

If you goto file manager on your phone, you will be able to view it by finding camera folder and you will see all the photos there.

Yes, you're right.
I just downloaded another gallery and I've seen all the pics but can't still see pics from my camera. Even if I snap now, I can't find it in the gallery. It's missing completely.
What could be the issue.

This is strange,

What app are you using to view your pic gallery?

You did not mention the name of the affected gallery app. However, I don't think the app caused your pictures to disappear, unless it is one of those apps which back up user's image files to the cloud, in which case you'd be required to simply reinstall the same app, then log into your account to have your pictures synchronized back into the phone. If the pictures are located elsewhere in the phone, you can still use the File Manager app in your phone to locate them. Another thing is that if your Google account has been active on your phone, you can recover all the missing pictures through Google Photos app in the phone. Not all gallery apps in Play Store are reliable replacements for the stock gallery app preinstalled on the phone by the manufacturer. But if you're considering a more reliable gallery app, you may want to use Quickpic. Some XDA developers have done a decent job transforming the Quickpic from the original. You can get it from GitHub using this link: https://github.com/WSTxda/QP-Gallery-Releases/releases/download/8.7/QP.Gallery.8.7.apk
