So what exactly is the lesson learned?
Everyone must be mindful of his or her health and most importantly blood which is the life in each creature. Jehovah's Witnesses have lots of alternative measures at our disposal to build and increase the blood level. Most of which are from herds! Psalms Psalms 104:14

As regards taking it into our bodies, our God says "blood from other bodies is UNHEALTHY" {Act 15:29} so we are not against Science that's is taught in our book, we are only standing firm for the wisdom found in God's word which surpasses all knowledge! Ephesians 3:19

Like I said early, you obviously know nothing about the science of blood transfusion. And you showed your ignorance in the topic. You have a right to be against any researcher. But the thing with science is that it is no respecter, of persons.
1+1=2 not minding if it's done by a faithless researcher or a faithful researcher. Scientists can argue but the science is universal.
You don't need to go to church to understand gravity.

Back then transfusion has not been discovered so the only way people take in blood is through eating. So if abstinence from blood is what the Bible says then i believe it shouldn't be taking into the body either by eating or transfusion!

Exactly my point. This is what happens when we depend on our brains to understand God's words. because we all have different ways of thinking, we all come up with different explanations.
You remind me of the story of the 7 blind men that touched an elephant. one touch the body and said the elephant is like a wall. Another touch the tail and said the elephant is like a rope. Another felt the limb and said the elephant is like a tree. And so on.
