This list is not correct, not even one of our modern day gangsters in the WOF/penterascal movement. For instance according to CEC sources Oyaks has worked more miracles than Jesus, even his apprentice joagbaje raises people from the dead on a routine basis, I believe his name should come even before James who was just a 'baby' christian.

@kunle

pardon me what was I thinking not including a man like joagbaje who could raise the dead.

Actually if the list is extended, you might want to include the name of keneth hagin widely regarded as the father of the WOF movement.Be that as it may be he would not make my first ten

Yes the list cannot be complete if we don't include the names of a couple of WOF/penterascal leaders. Love them or hate them their influence on christianity today cannot be denied even if they are leading their followers to hell.

@poster, so whats your criteria for your judgement?
Re: 10 Most Influencing Men In Christian History by Image123(m): 12:38pm On Jun 20, 2011
My 10 most influencing men in church history would include
Peter, Paul, John, Nero, Martin Luther, Steven Langton, John Wesley, Mary Jesus' mother, Kenneth Hagin and Billy Graham.
P S: I'm not praising or condemning anyone of them, just saying they've influenced the global course of christianity in their time and perhaps forever. Of course there may/should be others not too popular faithful God-loved men and women.

peter, paul and james were undoutedly the most influential christian leaders of the first century.these men laid the very foundation for the religion to thrive

marcion of sinope progenitor of marcionism, the worst heresy ever in christian history, marcion was also the very first person to compile a canon for the scriptures.

Arius of alexandria ,author of arianism the christian heresy that gripped the church in the 4th century.the turmoil generated by heresy was so great that the roman emperor constantine had to convoke the second church council in nicea in the year 325CE to resolve the issue.

Athanasius of alexander opponent of arius was a key actor in the council of nicea. He was also responsible for the compilation of the christian NT

You do know that John Calvin killed a man for daring to reject the doctrine of trinity right ?

Of crimes against humanity: 1531 John Calvin 1000s of religious nonconformists are killed and witches burned after John Calvin (1509-1564) turns Geneva into religious police state.

Of murder : (1553) That John Calvin, the "Protestant Pope" of Geneva did order Michael Servetus, the Spanish physician, burned at the stake for heresy. Servetus had opposed Trinitarianism and infant baptism.

Of murder: (1531) Jacques Gruet Calvin orders beheading of Jacques Gruet for blasphemy.

Of murder: (1531) Witches Calvin urges burning of witches.

No surprise that a catholic supports John Calvin , seeing that they were partners in the inquisition and murder of 'heretics' , or should we say those who dared to question their so called pure doctrines.

What a murderous lot, very unlike Christ the gentle and meek 'lamb'.
