As the race towards 2023 general election begins to take a decisive shape, Senate President of Nigeria, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, Governor of Yobe State and APC’s National Chairman, Interim Caretaker Committee/Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni and Mohammed Badaru Abubakar (MON) the Governor of Jigawa State, are all set to decamp to the opposition's Peoples Democratic Party.

A very reliable source in Abuja, told our news platform that the trio have met the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who is still interested in running on the platform of PDP to actualize his presidential bid to perfect their defection plan.

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, who represents Yobe North Senatorial District in the Senate, was said to have led the delegation that had Governor of Yobe State and APC’s National Chairman, Interim Caretaker Committee/Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni and Mohammed Badaru Abubakar (MON), who is equally the Chairman, Presidential Committee on Fertilizer, Chairman, Presidential Committee on Non oil Revenue to meet Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Although details of the meeting, which took place at a discreet lodge in Abuja were not made public, inside sources said it may not be unconnected with the rumoured defection plan of the trio of the APC chieftains.

Atiku is among several other contenders for the 2023 presidential ticket of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but sources say he might eventually emerge as the consensus candidate of PDP from the Northern caucus of the party.

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, our source says have seen the body language of his party, as he might not be supported to be the substantial National Chairman of the ruling APC and with the fact that he is losing the grip of his party structure in Yobe State, has decided to pitch his tent with Atiku Abubakar and the PDP for his second term ambition.

And with the former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, leading 10 other prominent chairmanship aspirants that include; former deputy national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Saliu Mustapha, former governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Almakura, former governor of Borno State, Alimodu Sheriff and Senator representing Niger East District, Mohammed Sani-Musa, Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda, Borno State, Kashim Shettima, Gombe State, Danjuma Goje, Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, George Akume, Sunny Moniedafe and Mohammed Saidu-Etsu; Mai Mala Buni may have tasted the final glory.

Likewisr, if the APC seeded their presidential ticket to the South, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan's chances of returning to the will be almost impossible. This is because, it will automatically mean a Southerner, preferably from the South West will be the next Senate President. So, the best calculation for him will be to support a Northerner to become the next President so that he can return to the Senate as the President of the Upper Chamber.

Aside the three prominent public figures,
also at the meeting were other top policians from the North.

With this latest development and plans, the race to 2023 general elections in Nigeria may be taking a very strange direction and may see prominent politicians like Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, Mai Mala Buni and Mohammed Badaru Abubakar (MON), all losing out completely with their calculations and their dwindling popularity.

They won do watin Ameachi them do Jonathan but this one no go work, e get why. Tinubu will rather sell Osibanjo to Nigerian than to be a loser then the South and half of the North will rather vote Osibanjo than allow Atiku become the president.

Those you mentioned are currently the owner of apc. They firmly control the party.
Atiku might be thinking of joining them.

It is fake news.....see the actual picture here

It was actually a Condolence Visit: Atiku, Lawan, Buni, Masari Meet In Katsina

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar was in Katsina State on Saturday for a condolence visit.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2019 presidential candidate visited the family of Dahiru Mangal, a business magnate

Hajiya Murja Bara’u, the 85-year-old mother of the tycoon, passed away on Thursday and was buried on Friday.

Atiku prayed that “Almighty Allah will comfort the family and grant her Aljannah Firdaus in paradise.”

He posted photos of interactions with Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Yobe Governor, Gov; and Katsina Governor, Aminu Masari.

Mangal is bereaved for the second time in less than a year. His son, Nura, died in March 2021 in a bike accident.

Regarded as Katsina’s richest man, Mangal is the Chairman of Afdin Group, owners of Max Air, Afdin Petroleum, Afdin Construction, among others.

Which south are you mad . Say south west , we will do to osibanjo what tinubu did to gej . So expect it . North has played the divide and rule game on south again and it will work . South south and south east for any northerner instead of a Yoruba man.

Shut up, stop deciding for South-South... They are wonderful people and not tyrant, terrorist and drug addict like you guys.

Osinbajo or Tinubu is the best man for this job, Igbo can also try their luck in APGA.. (Anything Can happen).

Stop envying a tribe that is better than you
... For your information, Tinubu and Osinbajo doesn't need Igbo vote to become president.

You guys has always been losers..... You are free to repeat the history... We don't care

Atiku has been contesting and losing presidential elections since 1993 but it’s Tinubu that is going into his first contest that you Smh for. So tell us, what exactly is there to be ashamed of?

Ojukwu contested for a small senate seat and lost. He contested for president twice and lost woefully. He couldn’t even win Anambra state not to talk of the entire SE. So, what exactly is your point again?

Stop allowing the media to deceive you. The only yoruba man we will vote for is Tinubu. We wouldn't vote Osinbajo cos he was part of the GMB government and both failed woefully.

Who is Ojukwu? Is he your uncle? Is he still in presidential race? Buahri made 3 attempts to become President? Tinubu thinks he can become president on the platter of gold. He wants Buhari open endorsement by all means. I would have taken Tinubu seriously if he has been contesting since 2007, rather sponsored Ribadu for political game in 2011 and even endorsed Atiku in 2007.

I've been suspecting that Buni of a man for sometimes and his body language, he's up to something, that's why he wants to scatter APC.

He doesn't want the power to come to the South.
