Lagos is a cosmopolitan city and shouldn't be defined by tribe. Lagos is not a Yorubaland.

You make me laugh with your comment. So the cosmopolitan city is not located in a region? Maybe it is located in a cosmopolitan region?

Interesting. I lived in Owutu myself in the late 90s to early 00s.
Was living close to Inglewood. Don't know if you know the school.

I think I have a fair idea.... my first day moving into Ikorodu, someone bashed my car from behind. Na so we carry ourselves to Owutu Police Station...

Everyone knows these are the traits of the igbos... Asian countries will give details of the kind of evil you people are capable of. Either you consuming drugs or into cannibalism.

In my church in anambra, we use even hausa and akwa ibom abi ibibio to sing . The priest is bittered by d progress of d igbos. He tribalistic. When i served in Gusau, zamfara state, they use igbo to sing because some songs sounds sweeter when sang with igbo
Your church however the bone of contention is that parish. No song sound nice in a particular tribe, every song is unique in its own way. A song could carry the same sound and meaning but different language.

He's a boring priest because he doesn't want the non-Eboes in his parish feel left out? How can your people be rendering services exclusively in Eboe when there are non-Eboes in the same church? Does it make any sense to you?

Is the Rev father insane?, Igbo are majority in every catholic parishes in Lagos, to the extent that some parishes have Igbo service.
So singing Igbo songs are now the issues?.
The Rev father will soon be hungry when Igbos leave the church.

That how trouble enters Anglican Church in FESTAC then, which leads to division among Igbo Anglican Church & Yoruba/others.
Come see crowd when Igbos started having their separate service but you can count the no of parishioners in the other one side.
The Rev father is not with his senses.

In oyo town, I think it’s St. Paul’s Anglican Church, they have Igbo service
Come and see crowd.
The truth is catholic and Anglican are dominated by Igbo’s

The part in bold is always being levelled at "unreasonable" Igbos universally be it Accra, Nairobi or Joburg.

Igbos will always shout when Yorubas insist their excesses in Lagos is constituting a nuisance to others. Thank God this Priest is not 'Afonja'.

In a parish were 95% are Igbo, what do you expect?

There is always the option for all of you Igbos to move back to the SE and remain there.

That way you will be away from Nigerians who "hate" you and be able to build your Biafra paradise exactly how you want..

Simple solution for both sides.

Now I know your brain is clouded by hatred.
How will all Igbos moving to the SE help solve the matter at hand.
When we will still be under the control of the FGN, NPF NA etc?

Lol. Can you Igbos ever act educated and refined? So you have a crystal ball to read beyond what is written to somehow link Yorubas with this?

Father James Anelu has a problem with Igbo "excesses" and somehow it is Yorubas that put him up to it?

You Igbos will never heal to be better loved and accepted by fellow Nigerians because when Nigerians complain of your "excesses" the first thing you do is attack them and point fingers of blame eslewhere. Preferably at Yorubas.

Oga MFM, RCCG here in Owerri sing Yoruba songs, and are even headed by Yoruba pastors, but do you see Igbo’s complain?
Carry your hatred one side.

If that is the case it is bad. If i was there i will protest or find a way to complain to those in charge. He can speak in his Igbo but also translate into English so that we all laugh symontaneously...

Just imagine the way you're showcasing your ignorance. Do you have sense at all? Are you mad or you just choose to be foolish?

All these rubbish you wrote is that enough reason to ban Igbo Song? Don't you know the meaning of BAN? Or are you that an illiterate?

Have you read what the idiot that called himself a priest said before exhibiting your hatred? Why not ban offerings that are largely from the Igbo? why not chase away the congregation that are also largely Igbo?

Hatred will continue to torment you all.

THAT'S RIGHT. SPARE THE ROD AND SPOIL THE CHILD. THERE'S CORRUPTION AND UNWITTING RECKLESSNESS IN THAT PRIEST AND IT MUST BE STOPPED.

Unfortunately the bishops actions against the priest was too swift without first doing underground check why he did what he did. Was there check to ask if other tribes made a complain about such activities that they also be noticed of becoming of the Igbos. The indefinite suspension was too hesitatened and heavy.
Dear, he was given a suspension and not a dismissal or an expulsion/ex-communication.

While it is true that we see and interpret things differently, but come'on! Are you Catholic?
This is an ordained Catholic Priest we're talking about. He is like a Pastor, who spent more years than a Pastor to get to where he is.
A careless statement can incite violence and killings, a careless statement can get you arrested and questioned. But when you make such a statement in church, what exactly are you expecting? To do an underground check while still officiating a mass the next day or the next week? In the same church? Are you that serious?
He was suspended, and during the suspension, investigations will be made. Eventually, if the heads of the church are satisfied, he'll come back and do the work of God.
It is possible that you're not Igbo. I am. But it is important that we look at that situation squarely as a human being, as a Christian, and as someone who lives in a volatile country like Nigeria, where far little things have cost people their lives and destroyed property.

But that's not even my main worry.
My main worry is how he has lost sight of the Word. I am struggling as a Christian so the Word of the Lord can dwell in me so it will guide my thoughts, my words, my actions, etc. I am struggling. I want it to be ever-enduring because the devil is prowling around trying to force it away from me because he knows my Christian foundation is somewhat shaky.
How much more an ordained Priest?
