It's shameful this issue got to the extent of physical combat; wisdom is profitable to direct. Please tell your husband to call me.

Those asking for the doctor's side of the story should gettat abeg. You do a job and the person that hired you decides to withhold your money, how would you feel? Even if the job done was not satisfactory, pay him his money for that day and terminate his services. For the fact that the doctor refused to pay for the services of the physio, I don't care about his side of the story. HE IS WRONG!

Tell your husband to GI to court and make a direct court complaint. And see the result. He should also get a sound lawyer o to back it up because the doctor will go to prison for buying him which is a physical assult and tell the court that it was risky cos you could have contacted this dreaded disease called ........through his siliva.

Them he should go ahead and copy the medical council and threaten to name the doctor and his hospital where staffs are been bitten by the doctor....

Your husband could have answered the questions the doctor was asking. Some times, questions are not to learn your secret but to find out if you know what you are doing!!! And if your husband answered him well, that could have made the doctor see your husband as an expert and that will bring more referrals

The questions should come before or after the procedure. Do you ask your doctor questions during a surgical process?

How can a Dr fight for what just bacause of 5k that cant even take about 10 bottles. persuade him let go if possible send the 5k to him to forget the issue. 5k is not work the stress
Don't ever do that in this kinda situation, trust me it's very insulting to the man and his ego.
The 5k is probably not the issue here but the bruised ego. Sending him 5k would only make it worse!

Tell your husband to leave the 5k for him and stop patronizing the police as nothing will come out there.
He should just write a petition against to NMA shekina

Na waaooo, the thing weak me, two highly educated fighting over pittance, weren't they thaught professional ethics in the cause of their studies.
People allow anger to get the worst of them. Similar thing almost happened yesterday in my street, NEPA came to cut light, knocked on my gate and no one was around, they went ahead and cut my power despite me paying like 3days back. Luckily I returned while they were still around the street and approached them with my bill, first, they didn't disconnect me, they cut my wires and that's despite me paying and only have about 3k outstanding. I gently explained to their most senior and I told her that it is not as if I'm totally helpless, I know what I can do to them that next time they see my pole they won't cross it. I got very angry but tried to control it. I was still talking a doctor that has a clinic in street came because of similar and let out every demon in him I even started begging the man not to fight

a day or two question and answer will not make the doctor to master the physiotherapist's job. It is very much possible that after the first day, the doctor will not come back to ask questions again. Not answering the doctor is a poor man mentality of "I don't want them to know what I know!!" You will remain stagnant!!!

Nurses want to take the job of doctors and doctor want to take the job of physiotherapy, health assistant want to take the job nurses, confusion every time because of greed. Make the physiotherapist shun the 5k. Na poverty go rope the doc.

I know your husband is not fighting for the money at this stage. It has become an ego thing. People shouldn't roll in the mud with pigs. Tell your husband to let it go.
I'm afraid for your marriage if your husband cannot listen to you knowing the situation is beginning to affect your health.

Sorry sweetheart, your Hubby should learn that not all men are real. He should also learn to understand that money is temporary, only good values travels over generations. What is even #5k? What if the doctor has HIV? YOUR hubby is acting immature. Some war are not won with physical strength. I lost #31m to Crypto and am a happy man because I have Jesus.

i have just read a one sided account from the heavily pregnant wife of a young inexperienced physiotherapist and I am still finding some questions in the narration.

i don't think the doctor wants to do the psychotherapist job himself but wants to monitor and observe if the right process is followed,it is his hospital for God sake and you are his employee.

honestly, your husband is still learning the trade and a bit of cool headed at this stage is key to build up contacts for future.

Haaaaaa this is too much of a quackery

Sterope:
Private hospitals train them on how to be a 'nurse'. They employ them as 'nurses'. Some hospitals have never employed a qualified nurse. In one extreme case I know of, a doctor's second wife who was an auxiliary nurse now acts as a doctor in his hospital.

Exactly. I'm a doctor and we've worked with physiotherapists in our private facility. My MD is usually weary of getting new physiotherapists to treat his patients due to competence issues, but I used to try to convince him to give the new hands a chance.
So when we have such ppl, he might want to see what they are doing to make sure you don't cause harm to the patient, because this is a patient in his hospital. So if anything goes wrong, he's the one to be blamed.
But op and her husband has come to tell the public that the doctor wants to learn his skills.
Which doctor has time to go and start massaging a patient

Really? Pls explain!
these Doctors started training sec school leavers how to administer injections and drips, sew them uniforms and called them auxiliary nurses. That's how trained nurses from reputable universities lost job opportunities to quack auxillary nurses.

This is how they ended up reducing Nursing to nothing in Nigeria because Nurses work hand in hand with them which made them to now go and be teaching touts Nursing procedures and issuing nonsense certificates to them instead of seeking for professional nurses.
I commend the physio guy for fighting for his rights.
You don't encroach in other ppls profession.
Why will the doctor even be asking about physio procedures if not to go and train quacks too?

Your hubby needs to work smart.
That's the surest way he'll make it.
Most professionals are greedy and there's little anyone can do about that.
In situations like this, he should've sensed that the doctor is in the upper echelon of the greed hierarchy and apply wisdom.
He should have spoken to the patient, leave his complimentary card and walk away.
The patient will look for him and other patients will come through referrals if he's good.
Fighting in someone's facility is a bad case.
I hope the other doctor doesn't cook up stories just to nail him.
you're right bro

Lol it’s that easy bAa?
I just got licensed to practice in Uk and I started this process about 6 months ago
He can’t just start applying
He needs to go through the process

I don't dispute that. However going on NHS.net will help him see that he deserves more than what he is currently facing.

I work in the UK already myself and know it takes a while to get your licence to practice.

Is your husband located in Lagos State? We have a member that requires a physiotherapist. Kindly share his contact details. Thanks

Glowww:
Good day all.

My husband is a good and dedicated Physiotherapist, though he has not been so long into the profession. He manages himself now with private practice by treating people in their homes and offering his services to clinics and hospitals who need his services on agreed amount to be paid him as he is yet to get a well paying job in a hospital . He recently got a call from one doctor who owns a clinic around his area for treatment of a patient with physiotherapy case. It was agreed between him and the doctor that he will be paid 5k each day for three times in a week.

On the first day of work, my husband arrived and began treatment. The doctor entered and began asking series of questions about the processes and procedures. After about 20mins, my husband told him that he would like to be given some privacy and concentrate on his patient as he was being distracted. The doctor refused, my husband refused answering further questions; this angered the man. When he was done with the treatment, he requested for his money and the doctor refused.

And argument ensued. He told my husband to leave the hospital, my husband said its until he receives his payment for workdone. He began pushing my husband away and a fight began, he bite my husband in several places. They were later separated. My husband went and treated himself and proceeded to report the case to the police station. The doctor went and reported too.

Note: Some Doctors ask the Physiotherapists these questions while treatment is ongoing because they want to treat the patients themselves and they don't know about Physiotherapy. They end up getting a physiotherapist and after few sessions, they dismiss them with hope that they have learnt, all because of greed. They end up doing a bad job and the patients case keep getting worse.
I told my husband to forget all about it and he said Never, that he worked for it and deserves his pay. I told him i know but justice is hardly gotten in this country.

Note: we recently got married and don't reside in same state because I have a business here and I'm heavily pregnant, i will join him as soon as I get a shop in his location. This case is taking a toll on my bp and I'm so worried. please what can we do? Any other options? Thank you good people.

Mods, please help a worried pregnant woman and her husband.

Thank you.
