Good day Nairalander! I came across this guy from the previous thread were he was seeking for a mini bus for higher purchase so I decided to give him a try

So we arrange for meeting and we came across each other last month, we discuss about everything that have to do with driving..

I asked him all kinds of questions that have to do with the role he's about to embark, from the advantage to disadvantage and the possibility of trusting him with my investment

After that I told him to go and confirm the price of the Mini Bus and get back to me so that I will know my budget he did liked I requested, I met with his quarantor and I inspect the address with my friend and everything was okay

The next day we went to Ladipo Market to get the Bus and his Mechanic was there to inspect the Bus and find out everything that might gone wrong, so we all agree to make a payment and did..
The issues now is it been over 3 weeks since I purchased the Bus and we did some body work and painting and plate number which I didn't expect it will extend to that level and it cause some delay due to some funds, my greatest surprised now is this guy is new to this and he doesn't have driving license and it different from what he told me earlier before we made agreement...

So last week Thursday he started working with the motor, the complain now is the 4 days work he used the money to do all sorts of things, from repairing of motor to police issues and outstanding debts with non availability of fuels, so I let that week go!

After all the stories I called and explain everything to his quarantor that if such story come up again, I will withdraw my Motor immediately and he will pay what he supposed to render for that week with immediate effect...

Now I can't even trust this dude again with my investment and I began to ask myself if there's something wrong with helping people.... below is the old thread he created here on Nairalander that warrant me to give him a try.....

Just went back to the thread and immediately I saw that he requested for auto transmission, I knew that he was ignorant about the whole thing.

I can relate bro, that was how I gave one fool (a Nairalander) my car on weekly remittance, thought I was helping out only for him to start bashing my car, he claimed to have been arrested by LASTMA for not putting on his seat belt, end of story, na so I collect my car, the #10k he dropped for a week work wasn't enough to reapir the damage he caused.I have learnt my lesson

Yes he just started working fully on Monday... I was expecting him to come up with the weekly payment of the 55k before he started complaining of fuel issues and suggested that he can't meet up with the initial payment and suggested 40k instead...

My advice to you is to get back the bus ... and you can't give him a clue about your intention or he will arrange for the bus to be stolen. Agree with the new N40K lease.... ask him to come over to sign the agreement. Collect the keys... let him know your mechanic will be doing full service and upgrading the sound system .... that you'll call him as soon as it is done and the new lease begins the next day.
You should stay clear of such business .... you're not ready ... wayyyy tooo simple minded .

At least you're learned and you know the implications of driving without a valid DL... Okay for instance if there's any issue of accident (may d case nvr arise) do you know that would b d first thing they'd ask him be it resident or express

My blood is boiling as I'm reading this.

Collect that bus from him and collect the money due to you right from the day he collected the bus. If there's any damage to the bus, he must fix it.

If he refuses to pay, report him to any Police station for fraud and obtaining by false pretences, let them lock him up and beat sense into him. Whoever comes to bail him should pay the money, if they can't let him be charged to court and remanded in prison.

I feel you've been too lenient and sentimental in dealing with him. My simple advice to you, change it for him or get someone who can. He is reading everything we post here, so I can't advice you much.

Quietly collect your bus with or without that last delivery money. It's better you run it yourself whenever you have chance than to listen to unsolicited tales by moonlight

First of all, I will like to show gratitude to you and I also want to apologize to you as well. I sold my Android Phone In the middle of these trials. The main reason why I haven't been online all this while. And morso, I'm a focused and goal oriented human who doesn't like distractions. I do away with my android when I'm hustling. All of you are right with your assertions and I won't exchange words with anyone of you. To summarize this Issue, All I can say Is I was too desperate and wanted to please you. God knows I had good Intention towards you. But the circumstances which came up changed things. Overtime I even realized there was no way I would have meet up with the 40k & 55k weekly remittance we earlier agreed on except for the "Normal 30k weekly remittance nationwide" But my desperation caused all these things. Initially I told you that It Is 30k I am capable of but you cajoled me Into doing 55k per week plus my desperation of not wanting to stay Idle. Morso the mistakes I made was trying to fix things and Issues you were supposed to handle by yourself before finally handling over the Vehicle to me ranging from

*Mechanic Consultation Fee:N50k
*Servicing Of The Vehicle:N15k
*Vehicle Registration:60k
*Panel Work & Painting:65k
*Registration Of The Vehicle At Designated Motor Park:50k
*Doing Minor Repairs & Corrections After Assembling Of The Vehicle From The Factory:50k
*One Free Week For Me To Sort Out Myself..

And you Just only sent me 70k to do all these and sort out the rest by myself then you start expecting money to be rolling Into your account. I even SOLD MY PHONE In the process of completing the Park Registration Fee when I was been Harassed by the Chairman, You failed to mention all these. In your mind, I was using the Vehicle to work all the time and I was making a lot of money while I keep telling you lies.
