What Made A Muslim's Wife Start Preaching "Repent! Jesus Is Coming Soon"

It's a neighbor of mine who is a christian but is married to a muslim. I already shared a part of her astonishing story on this thread:

https://www.nairaland.com/6962818/how-2-little-kids-saved

She had been under severe spiritual attack, to the extent she could no longer walk at some point, but had to crawl on the floor as a baby. She narrated her ordeal to me at the beginning of this year, but said that God saved her and helped her to get herself back towards the end of last year.

I was very happy for her, because I very well knew how heartless and desperately wicked human beings could be, i could only imagine the kind of suffering she must have endured in their hands.

I told her what she needed to do to keep her deliverance and to ensure that such didn't repeat itself again, which is basically, to "Sin no more", as Jesus would say, and to build her spiritual life and foundation with the Word of God...

I also immediately started praying for her. and the first time I had mentioned her in a prayer to God, God told me she was important to Him... I couldn't understand exactly what He meant, but was keen to find out.

The next time I spoke with her,
she said that because of what i told her, that she started fasting and taking her spiritual life more seriously.

And that while fasting, she had a dream where she saw the feet of many people walking above her towards a direction. She was told that they were the dead, and they were going towards the seat of judgement where they would all give account of the lives they lived on Earth. She appeared to believe that the dream came as a result of her fasting and showed her efforts were already working.

I was surprised that she had taken what I said seriously and was already working towards it, because when I was telling her those things, I didn't know if she would take it seriously or not, I just said it regardless.

It seemed to suggest why God would say such a thing concerning her, as she showed genuine willingness to learn and to do what it takes. So I was pleased and willing to do my own part to assist her where need be, so she could be all that God desired for her. Hence, I encouraged her and also told her what God said concerning her.

The next time I saw her, she told me that after I shared what God said concerning her, that she decided to take it seriously because I wasn't the first to tell her about that... And when she was in church, that a voice kept rebuking her for not preaching the Gospel, saying, "so you wouldn't tell people about Me, right? What are you doing? Tell them to repent, I'm coming soon..."

She knew it was a very serious matter, and was willing to do as she was told, however she didn't know how to go about it herself, as she didn't know much Scriptures and what she would say. So she went to meet a lady in the same church who had told her previously about having the passion to preach the Gospel and to win souls, but needed someone to accompany her, and offered to accompany her. So they started going out early in the morning together to preach and telling people to repent.

Although she wasn't happy with the response their efforts received, as she complained that people appeared disinterested in hearing the Gospel, which seemed to bother her a lot, I encouraged her with the Word and told her not to worry about how people reacted but just to do her part because that's all God requires of her. Though i was pleasantly surprised to hear that about that awesome development. I didn't expect it to be that fast.

A few weeks later, I spoke with her not knowing exactly what's going on with her in that respect, if she's continued on that path or not. That's when she shared with me how she's also started going to preach the Gospel on her own on some days of the week, but on a day she was meant to go and had woken up early for that purpose, she began to feel reluctant and weary and wanted to go back to sleep, but that she kept hearing a Voice, telling her to wake up and go and warn people that Jesus is coming soon.

But despite how persistent the Voice was, she ignored it and still went back to sleep. While asleep, she immediately saw herself walking on the road, and while she was standing, she heard something sound like a earthquake and the ground divided into two, and she saw many people began to fall into the ground.

While that was taking place, she said, a Voice began to tell her He's not happy with those who were supposed to be preaching the Gospel and telling people to repent, but are not doing so. That many were perishing because of them.

She said the Voice told her that she was supposed to be in the grave now, but He saved her life and also that of her last child who had also been attacked and was supposed to be dead.

He told her to go and preach the Gospel and warn people to repent that Jesus is coming soon, so that they do not perish.

Before she slept, she had already decided and told her husband she wasn't going to church on that day which happened to be last Sunday, but when she woke up from the dream, she had changed her mind and immediately started preparing. And when her husband asked her, "didn't you say that you weren't going to church?", she told him that she was going to church even if alone.

It appeared that it had passed the time she used to go and preach when she woke up from the dream, so she couldn't go for that again, but she didn't want to also miss the church service despite making up her mind not to go beforehand.

That was when It really dawned on her that she had no excuse not to preach the Gospel as God had commanded her to do, because she knew very well that she would have been in the grave, just as some of her mates, as one who just died recently, if not for God's timely intervention which made her enemies who wanted her dead not to succeed in their plans.

Moreover, she had seen how important it was to God to preach the Gospel and warn men to repent that Jesus was coming soon, because many were perishing, so despite that she's already started preaching the Gospel beforehand, she now took it more seriously than ever. As if her life depended on it.

I was happy for her knowing where she was coming from, because barely two months ago, she didn't have the courage to preach, wondering what she would say since she didn't know much scriptures. Today, she goes out to preach the Gospel telling people to "repent, that Jesus is coming soon," without having to rely on anyone but God who sent her.

I already knew that for God to say such about someone, the person must have something extra special. From the signs I see already, i wouldn't be surprised if she's one of those God's going to use mightily in these last days, to draw all men to Him.

God bless.

So far, so good, but the journey has not been that straightforward for her though. Trust the devil to always do whatever he could to stop or discourage anyone who starts to obey God instructions, and to preach the Gospel for people to repent because Jesus is coming soon.

Her family experienced significant setbacks about the same time she started doing so.

Also her marriage was seriously troubled as she complained about her husband on several occasions. Although, despite being a Muslim, he had gradually started to believe in her faith, and following her to pray, also to go to her church, since he saw that it was working and had made a glaring difference in his family, especially in his wife's life, he was still not serious and his wayward life seemed to be affecting her negatively and dragging her back.

She was really worried about him, how she would be able to cope, because he was proving a big hindrance. Things even seemed to escalate at that point, after a bitter disagreement and quarrel ensued between them, that she said there was nothing holding them together apart from her children. She appeared to be contemplating separation.

But I told her not to worry much about him since it's a matter beyond her control, but to just commit his matter to God, and instead worry about the work that God gave to her and ensure that no one stopped her from doing it, not even him, her husband, because she ought to place God's Word above everything else. And if she does her own part, God would do His and take of hers, including her family.

From then onwards she began to worry less about him, as she committed his matter to God as I had advised her, and she said she began to experience an unusual kind of peace and calmness in her soul.

I also later spoke to her husband about what God told me concerning her, and told him that it would not be easy, but that he should bear with her, that God would see them through.

Afterwards I asked her how far about the issue, and she said that God had intervened, and things were looking up. Early last week, she was telling me about how her husband called her, and said he was in the church to her greatest surprise. She wondered what would have made him, go to church by himself, as that had never happened before.

She also spoke about how he's been really supportive of her and said really nice things about him, and I was like, seriously?

So God did His own part and took care of hers including her husband, while she did hers and obeyed His Word.

Only yesterday, she shared with me even more good things which God had done for her.

I know that it's early days, and things are not always going to be this smooth and rosy, but I know that God who began this good work in her is more than able to see her through it all and to enable her to become all He wants her to be for His own glory.

God bless.
