Trust me, it's a wonderful idea.
I attached the picture of my ZDX below. The car is giving me so much joy since 3 months that I bought it now. I've not visited my mechanic since then (except for issues with my other cars)
But after using this car for some months, I have a few advice for you.
1. Be ready for a lot of attention from friends and enemies. The car is so unique that people will notice you everywhere and they will keep saying they've not seen it before.
2. Have another small car that runs your dailies, that car won't suit well as a car that can be used to run domestic errands like quick fuel purchase or buy Suya at Junction lol
3. You should consider upgrading your car stereo to the more recent one. Acura has a branch company called Navtool, they sell the engine and will guide you on how to install it easily.
4. Have money for area boys, they won't stop chasing you and shouting baba oo
5. This is probably the most Important advice. If you're buying your zdx in Lagos, be very careful. I went to almost all the auto dealers at Lekki and Apapa and they don't have it and the few that have it are accidented. I had to spend almost $100 on checking vehicles history just to make sure I don't buy an accident car. Finally found this one. Its perfect but it was not cheap. But I didn't care, just want the best.

I'm actually looking for an honest opinion on this two rides. For one thing I am an Acura lover. I'm currently using a TL and I'm saving for an upgrade. Over the last 2 years, the only issues I've had with my TL are the suspensions due to the terrible condition of the road network where I live and work and the gear which I later found out didn't actually have any problem other than the mounts.
But on the other hand, I feel the need to try out a different brand and the GLK comes to mind. But I have admired Acura ZDX even before I bought my TL but I could not afford it then until maybe now.
Most annoying thing about the ZDX is that it's so uncommon that you'll barely see any one that can give you a first hand review on it. Apart from all those online reviews.
I'm honestly confused. I'm kinda caught btw love and change. Can anyone help me?

ZDX wins on exterior, GLK wins in interior
ZDX has better mileage
ZDX is larger & heavier
GLX is slightly faster
Both have 4wheel drive
ZDX is unique, will turn more heads.
ZDX is a more masculine looking ride.
ZDX has an above average reliability score, GLK not bad either.

Both cars are good, it all boils down to your own preference. I will go for a ZDX, especially the last model year.

All ZDX are 4 doors. Basically all Acuras are 4 doors except the sport car they made (Acura NSX)

That's the door handle. It's attached to the side glass. Infact the entire roof top all the way to the back is all glass. The Acura logo at the back is attached to glass. The car is an amazing work of engineering

Mdx has has models for the following years
1. Ist gen, 200?-2006
2. 2nd gen, 2007-2013.
3. 3rd gen, 2014-2021
4. 4th gen, 2022 till date

I don't know much about the 3rd gen and know nothing about the 4th gen.

The 2nd gen is solid but a fuel guzzler (it's a full size SUV not a Corolla).

The 3rd gen uses a slightly smaller engine and has better fuel economy but watch out for maintenance costs. They are mad.

I drive a GLk but I still turn my head to look at a ZDX pass me by. While I feel no remorse or regret for Getting a GLK it would be a tough decision for me to choose between either.
that said the only thing that will win me over to the GLK would be Benz stability and drive handling no Japanese or Chinese car has been able to replicate every other thing luxury, aesthetics I give it to the ZDX

From a ZDX owner, who once drove a GLK, trust me there's little difference between the handling. My ZDX handles very great, I won't say more than the last GLK I drove but it's right there. The only downside I have with my ZDX is the fact that it feels heavy for a coupe. When you're driving that car, you will actually think you're driving one of these big SUVs. That leave you tired after a long trip. Meanwhile, GLK feels lighter so you can drive for hours and hours and not feel tired.

I needed not drive the ZDX but I still say unequivocally that Benz is purposeful and handles like a dream. Coming from an evil spirit and I still have a Camry muscle. The Honda is sportier and handles better than a Toyota.
Needless to say the ZDX and GLK are great contenders
What one lacks in one compartment it makes off for in another and vice versa.
Whichever you go for will be shaped by our needs and preference. No Regrets on my GLK what so ever the ZDX will remain to me a love affair with a car I never had.
