For those of you mentioning banks and dangote factory's, just in case you don't know what $40 billion is in naira;

$40 bill=#16,619,200,000,000.00 trill in naira

So before you say anything else, take all the time you need to look at the amount after the equality sign

How much is Dangote refinery?
How much is dangote fertiliser ?
How much is dangote rice farms and rice meals constructing everywhere?
How much is dangote construction company?
How much is dangote shares in UBA and many companies you're not aware?
How much is dangote sinotruck?
How much is dangote Peugeot plant in Kaduna?
Are they listed on NGX?
Dangote is far ahead

Did you do maths in school, we are working with known valuations by financial experts who evaluated and integrated all these factors into Dangote recent valuation ?

70% of his wealth is in Dangote cement, the rest of 30% held in Dangote Group can't outgrow expectations.

Lmao stop dreaming and start living in reality bro. First of all, Dangote does not own Sinotruck and never did and the total asset value of Dangote group is a little below $20bn. Bloomberg is your friend if you need to see the data.

Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited is a Joint Venture between Dangote Industries Limited and Sinotruck of China formed for assembling different type of trucks, with the Nigerian Dangote Industries owing 65 per cent equity and 35 per cent by Sinotruk.

Since Elon Musk acquired twitter for 45 billion dollars, i have been thinking.

We all know that twitter was founded by Americans in America and there are other companies from America that i believe are worth more than 40 billion dollars.

From social media companies to food companies to Pepsi to coca cola and many more companies built from the scratch in America that are now worth over 50 billion dollars.

So the question is do we have home made companies built from the scratch whether offline or online that are worth more than 40 billion dollars in Nigeria?
I will like to know their names?

Note!!! I am talking about built from scratch Nigeria companies whether it's social media or food companies or otherwise.
No put arguing none forget all these people arguing up and down

Dangote worth 40 billion dollars?

Why not. All Nigerian banks to start with? Stop being decived by the media. Twitter isn't bigger than many Nigerian companies. Its only backed by public funds from a robust stock exchange market system. Same as Facebook. The giants of Nigeria are arising. No cap mate wink

Because what Infrastructures was there to start with? Still doesn’t stop it from being a Nigerian grown enterprise. Most Nigeria firms are digitally run from abroad, including banks.

Guy, check what the OP asked. Jumia isn't a nigerian man business, they have branches in other african countries. It's owned by a german and it was never built from scratch in nigeria.

The Five Most Valuable Companies (Dangote Cement, BUA, MTN, Airtel and Nestle) on the Nigerian Stock Exchange combined have a value less than US$40 billion and that is almost 70% of the total value of the Stock Exchange comprising about 160 companies.

Five of Nigeria’s most valuable companies ended the month of October with a market valuation of N14.8 trillion ($36.1 billion) up from N14.4 trillion recorded in September 2021.

These companies are all quoted with their share price (Stocks) Worth Over One Trillion (SWOOT) naira in market value. The SWOOT as we call them at Nairametrics include the five most valuable companies in Nigeria, Nestle, BUA, MTN, Airtel and Dangote Cement.

These companies are so large that they also make up about 67.5% of the entire market capitalization of the stock exchange valued at N21.9 trillion. The Nigerian stock exchange has about 160 actively quoted stocks.

The sugar has a huge potential, if you're following up with backward integration and the investment he has made in Nasarawa and Niger. Rice will boom also just sit back and look. The potential is huge from fertiliser to oil nd gas.

Are you deliberately slow A Joint Venture is an investment usually involving two or more COMPANIES pooling resources together over a specified period of time to reap a substantial profit at a fixed rate. In this case $100m total was invested by all parties to open an assembly plant for Sinotruk trucks here in West Africa. Was it registered as a new corporation and listed on the NGX

What's your point bro?
Is an investment to fetch in money whether listed or not. You brought the issue of listing while quoting the value of NGX in dollars and I listed some of his investments that are not listed yet.

You are talking of an American company sold in their currency (USD). Tailor your question down to naira, which is our legal tender.

Let's not always be in a haste to diss our own

You can do your conversion.. 40 billion billions is about 18 trillion naira.. So do we have any company worth that much..

Yes the refinery is included, do you know anything about debt financing, do you think Dangote is rich enough to build a $5 billion + refinery with self financing. Wake up.
