Yes the refinery is included, do you know anything about debt financing, do you think Dangote is rich enough to build a $5 billion + refinery with self financing. Wake up.

You may be sleeping bro. Most huge project across the world pass through this. Dangote is not a $5 billion billionaire.

Dangote group is worth more than that.

Even dangote himself isn't worth that money and he is the richest man in Africa because of the worth of his conglomerate, not the raw cash he has in the bank

You are clearly not knowledgeable, even Dangote won't argue on this.

Whenever you see Otedola visiting the facility with Dangote, do you think he is a cheerleader or fanboy.

He is likely an investor too, Dangote won't even take the risk of self financing the refinery alone, risk impact would be higher. He can't even afford to

What's your point bro?
Is an investment to fetch in money whether listed or not. You brought the issue of listing while quoting the value of NGX in dollars and I listed some of his investments that are not listed yet.

The JV is statistically insignificant as it stands at 10% of $1bn ($0.1bn to be technical) so what’s your point exactly? So because of this $100m venture it is supposed to magically skyrocket his asset value to $40bn??

Industry experts already did research and analysis and valued the conglomerate at a little below $20bn with relevant data and reasons attached. Where is your data?? Can you give me a factual and statistical asset valuation of Mr Aliko Dangote that would disprove analysis done by experts like Bloomberg and Forbes?

At the moment, no Nigerian company is worth 40 billion dollars. All the banks in Nigeria together are not even worth 40 billion. That's almost 10% of Nigeria's GDP

I lose. agree. But things i know, i know

You don't know anything. All quoted companies in Nigeria together are worth just under 70 billion. That is basically all companies in Nigeria. Nigeria's nominal GDP is just under 600 billion.

Lmaoooo what ongoing projects
Dangote Cement was valued to be around $12bn+ with the next biggest company (Dangote Refinery) in the group being valued around $6-7bn asides these two the rest of his investments total value won’t amount up to $1bn so how did you arrive at $40bn and above??

You can do your conversion.. 40 billion billions is about 18 trillion naira.. So do we have any company worth that much..

Your comparison should be between two third world countries, or between two first world countries. Not between a world power and a struggling nation

No private entity in Nigeria... No company.. Is worth $40b. We're talking about N22 trillion. That's more than your country's budget. More than your current foreign reserves.

NNPC

It is difficult to put a value to NNPC, but that's the only possible/probable corporate entity in Nigeria that one might gamble to be worth something remotely close to $40b.

Some fool kept talking about Nigerian banks. Not sure any Nigerian bank has depositors funds of up to $40b kpakpa, let alone value.

Since Elon Musk acquired twitter for 45 billion dollars, i have been thinking.

We all know that twitter was founded by Americans in America and there are other companies from America that i believe are worth more than 40 billion dollars.

From social media companies to food companies to Pepsi to coca cola and many more companies built from the scratch in America that are now worth over 50 billion dollars.

So the question is do we have home made companies built from the scratch whether offline or online that are worth more than 40 billion dollars in Nigeria?
I will like to know their names?

Note!!! I am talking about built from scratch Nigeria companies whether it's social media or food companies or otherwise.
$40billion is like half our entire stock exchange.
