Salvation, Or Just Blackmail? by johnydon22(m): 4:00pm On May 03, 2022
"Accept my love or I hurt you" is an idea we all will recoil at its thought.

If a man said to a lady, "accept my love, love me and be my girlfriend and you will be cared for, happy, everything you want will be given on to you. But if you choose not to love me, accept me or be mine, I am going to torture you and make your life miserable"

Anyone who hears the above would immediately make the man out to be a blackmailer, a horrible person, deserving of no love.

Would you say she is saved if she accepts his love? No, you won't because the person offering love is also same person offering torture should she choose the contrary.

But by Christian dogma, you could call it salvation for her to accept his love. Such abusive, blackmailing and horrifying relationship dynamics is worth celebrating by Christian sensibility because it represents Christian relationship with the Christian God.'

Christians are obsessed with the idea of salvation, of being saved from damnation. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior is the sure path to this salvation.

However, the Christian God also is believed by christians to be the creator of everything, the set the rules, he damns those he finds unworthy of "salvation".

Think about it. When a Christian is saying he or she is saved, they are saying they are saved by God from what God would do to them if they didn't accept God as their lord and savior

Christians are not saved from any external force beyond God's control, they are saved from the wrath of God.

How is it salvation if the same person offering salvation is responsible for damnation?

It is not, it cannot be.

Just as the abusive man above isn't offering the lady in the analogy salvation, the Christian God isn't offering anyone salvation. Both are simply blackmailing their victims with torture.

Take your time, think about it. Who exactly is God saving you from?

1. What you have above is nowhere close to that taught by Jesus Christ, nor the God of the Christians. Instead it is from doctrines and ideas fed you by men masquerading as Christians in order to build for themselves kingdoms/businesses here on earth. undecided

A better analogy of the Christian Truth is as follows.

A rich and powerful man, wanting for nothing, says to a woman he loves, "accept my love and I will give you the whole world on a platter and eternal life". However, his offer was rejected by the woman who thought she could obtain the world all by her own works. The consequence of her rejection was that not only did she forfeit riches, and a best path without suffering, but also eternity.

After living out her life and achieving nothing on her own, tired and resigned to the fact that death meant the absolute end of her soul and journey, the rich man approached her again with the same offer, only this time he also insists that not only will He hand her the world but also Heaven if she will be willing to trust and obey him.

Now after the initial rejection, what this rich man offers her is a chance at redemption, a second chance at the better life she missed out of.

1. When a Christian is saved, he or she is not saved from God, but from the consequence of man's very own decisions to abandon God and go it alone, this from the beginning- Genesis 3 vs 16 - 22 undecided

Salavation isn't about what God would do to anyone but about redemption from what man already did to self from the time of Adam - Genesis 3 vs 16 - 22 lipsrsealed

2. Salvation is an offer from God to those who would choose immortality over perishing in the grave at the end. Man is born from the Physical elements of this world so because of man's rejection of God in the beginning, man condemned himself to be returned back to the dust of the earth upon his death - from dust you were made and to dust you shall return ' Genesis 3 vs 19 undecided

God's offer of salvation is and attempt by God to offer again to men that which was lost to him from the beginning. Those who refuse the offer simply return to dust when they die.. whereas those who accept the offer of Salvation move on to vie for a place in God's Heaven or Hell. It is really as simple as that. undecided

3. Spend less of your time sucking down on delusions Fed you by other men and use that time instead to read and digest scripture for yourself so you have firsthand knowledge of even this Salvation thingy. undecided

How does the Islamic idea compare? Or even the same thing for other religions?

Does all that really matter or even come close to the idea that is Salvation as offered by God through Jesus Christ? undecided

This is not True in and for Christ Followership.

What we have is

"Why are you so wicked and evil to everything and everyone I created? Do you not know that My ears are filled with their cries?

You do not even fear Me, your ceeator, such that you also do evil to me because I love you and held you close!

I did not create you so. And you already know that I hate wickedness and evil.

So, change quickly before I turn and hear the cries thereof and pour my anger on you"

I thought about it and wondered why johnydon22 would assume to know what a Christian is saying when johnydon22 is describing what johnydon22 hears.

Have you considered your hearing might he faulty? Or you might be asking uninformed Christians - you know there's levels of understanding, right?

Also, have you read the Christian book yourself? Where did you read in there that Christianity is what you have described above?

I call strawman on this, johnydon22.

Sarcasm is what everyone know is direct opposite of what one is saying.

Like saying
"fast as a slug"
"clean as mud"
"beautiful as monkey"

So whatever makes me a BELIEVER refer to you an UNBELIEVER and staunch antagonist of FAITH "my friend" any intelligent listener knows it's SARCASM! wink
