Good Evening.
Whenever I save any file on my system, be it in the “Documents Folder”, or on the “Desktop” space, or even if I create a new folder directly inside the “Local Disk - C” Drive space and save the file there, once I put the system off and put it on again, everything I saved on the system would just be wiped off, and I won't see them again..
Even if I run a search for such files on the whole of the system, I won't see any traces that such files existed on the system, not even in the recycle bin.

(Although, any files that I deleted by myself before I put the system off would still be there in the recycle bin).

..
..
NOTE: I don't have the Deep-Freeze Software on my system.
..
..
I also discovered something else...
..
When I clicked on the “Users” folder inside the LOCAL DISK Folder, I discovered that a new temporary “User” folder is always created for me whenever I sign-in, and that the current temporary “user” folder, which stands for the user that is currently signed-in, is the only folder that contains readable items... All other earlier numerous temporary “user” folders, which represented all those times that I logged in earlier (which had wiped out), all contained encrypted files which cannot be opened by any app or software, and they are saved in hidden folders inside those earlier temporary “user” folders.

..
Please, is there any way I can correct this anomaly??

Try log on as Administrator..

If it persist . Then do system restore or system repair...

Your system is deeply infected with Trojan Virus. Do a complete format and ensure to install a strong antivirus e.g Avast.

Also, ensure to always scan any external storage device before use next time and be mindful of sites you visit online

I had the same issue few weeks ago. Windows 10 create a new temporary user for me every time I log in. I tried some solutions I got online but did not resolve it. I will advice you locate your user in your C drive, then copy all your files into a safe external disc. Reload the OS. Then put all your files back. For all the files you created using the temporary account, I'm afraid you can't get them back!
Cheers

- Follow the steps the earlier replies put up to fix your user profile as it keeps logging on to a new profile. You can try creating a new profile &
moving the documents to the new one if those fixes don't work.

- if that doesn't work, do an in-place install or upgrade so your system can be re-installed while you maintain user files and programs from the old install

Also note, it may be a hardware issue, has your hard drive given you a warning? Might be time to backup and replace it.

you had no clue of what happened to your system. Cmos battery only enables your system bios to store settings related to the bios which help your system boot up. it has nothing to do with his files going away. it may be a virus or system restore bug.

he may even have disk write issues which might make the files be stored on the memory.

You are not so smart as you think. I had same issue and an engineer told me to change the battery which I did and problem got solved.

For that temp user folder Try this.

Press the window key and r then type regedit.
Then follow this path

Computer \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ ProfileList

If you see two profiles with same name do this.

Find the two profiles with the same name. One of those should end with .bak.
Note that the key with .bak at the end is your correct, personalized profile. You are currently logged into a new profile with the same key. As such, you have to rename the two files. Add “_new” (no quotes) at the end of the key for the temporary profile. After that, remove the .bak from the correct profile key.
Once you’ve completed the previous step, you can now log off from the temporary profile.
Restart your computer and log in to your correct profile.

If it doesn't work, change ur cmos battery and format your system grin

During installation of your current windows, the installation was corrupted, hence windows always creates a temporary user for you because during installation, it couldn't create one.

Simple fix: Reinstall your windows.

It looks like deep freeze software is installed in the computer. Check your system tray for bear head icon. Press Shift button down then click on the icon to launch the program (if not passworded). Select thwart then reboot PC. Probably, someone installed the program without your consent. Deep freeze and some few softwares act like that to protect a system against online attacks after reboot or shutdown. Do you share the laptop with others?

Everyone has offered you valuable advice but it is definitely not CMOS. Windows has malfunctioned and you've ebeen assigned a temporary profile, you need to repair windows or logout and try log in as admin. Furthermore to save yourself from losing valuable files in the future, create redundancy. You should be saving valuable files either on Dropbox or Google Drive. This way if anything happens to your system, your files won't be affected. This is 2022, let's stop living like it's 2004.

Check to see if a software DEEPFREEZE has been installed. It's function is to wipe out every saved file upon shutdown or restart

Just restart 3 times or until its ok

This is usually the effect of a bad User Profile.

Login as admin, if your current Profile is the Admin then create a new User with Admin rights.

Delete the suspect profile after backing up any thing important sad

Then re create the profile.

Or just abandon the old Profile and create a new one.

Let us know if you still have disappearing files
