@BluntCrazeMan:

You're currently logged-in using a temporary profile apparently. (Your windows notification bar should be showing you that)
Whatever you save will of course not live beyond that current log-on session. They will be deleted once you shut down.

FIX:

If it's a non-domain computer, (I mean your own personal machine that isn't joined to Active Directory on any corporate domain), the first and most elementary step would be to log in in "Safe Mode" and then shut down the PC (don't restart).
Put it back on and then log in normally to see it it ceases to register a temporary profile for you.

If that doesn't work, try to change your sign-in method. (Try PIN for instance instead of a password).

If the preceding steps don't work, then search for and launch "regedit.msc" from the search bar on your desktop, right-click and run it as an Administrator and navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionProfileList"., Once there, check for a folder bearing '"ProfileImagePath" directing to "C:\Users" and completely yank it off. (I assume you have only one profile besides the default local admin account)

NB: If your PC is on a corporate domain (and joined to AD), contact your Windows Server Administrator.
It should take him/her less than a minute to fix that. (by just disabling and re-enabling the account)

One of these should fix your issue if there's no village intervention.

Spot on.

I suspect a very deadly virus. I advise u copy your files out into an external drive, then format the system, reinstall relevant apps and return your copied files.

Next avoid wifi networks that you do not trust, especially those ones you OPEN (awoof dey run belle), as some of them are spy network and they could harm your system if they choose to do so without you knowing.

Hope this helps.

Do not panic, your system bios board has been locked. I t is usually done by a system engineer to avoid users of a system of complaining of bad repairs done on their system.

Check, may be deep freezer (https://www.faronics.com/en-uk/products/deep-freeze) or similar software is installed on your system. What this software does is if installed, every time your computer is going off, every thing saved on the system will be deleted before shut down or restart. Be it new software, files, virus, malware, registry data, configurations to mention but few.

The aim is to restore the computer to how it was before you powered on. It has a very useful advantage to those who really need it, but if you have only one computer that's where file are saved on, it will be very catastrophic.

Just check Program and features under control Panel for any new software installed and study their use.

You are have a corrupt %temp% folder.
You should be able to fix by reinstalling the OS. And repartitioning the drive.

I don’t believe you have a complicated set up like a roaming profile do you. Roaming profile means you can’t say anything on the local desktop but it saved to the server. You can login to any domain joined computer and your files are accessible.

I’m any case. Just reformat your drive and reinstall your os that should recreate the folder required.

Oga is a virus, and you not having antivirus on the system makes it even more believable.

Forget about scanning and using recovering option, the best is to install a fresh window.

If there is any file you don't want to lose during installation of the fresh window, do it without formatting the disk.

But it will make sense if you do a complete formatting as virus can still hide among those files you are keeping.

Just seeing this post and really amazed at the write ups.

This actions are as a result of rootkits which are sometimes difficult to trace.

Download Microsoft Security Scanner from Microsoft site and scan your system.
Best on your flash drive.
Thank me later

Lol. I didn't say I don't know what a rootkit is.
I'm simply amazed at how you arrived at rootkit from what is a blindingly obvious windows profile issue grin

Lol....from experience and how It was resolved.

A profile does not delete files like that. Seems it is on you to show how you arrived at yours.

Don't bother reply cos I have given up on you.

Good Evening.
Whenever I save any file on my system, be it in the “Documents Folder”, or on the “Desktop” space, or even if I create a new folder directly inside the “Local Disk - C” Drive space and save the file there, once I put the system off and put it on again, everything I saved on the system would just be wiped off, and I won't see them again..
Even if I run a search for such files on the whole of the system, I won't see any traces that such files existed on the system, not even in the recycle bin.

(Although, any files that I deleted by myself before I put the system off would still be there in the recycle bin).

..
..
NOTE: I don't have the Deep-Freeze Software on my system.
..
..
I also discovered something else...
..
When I clicked on the “Users” folder inside the LOCAL DISK Folder, I discovered that a new temporary “User” folder is always created for me whenever I sign-in, and that the current temporary “user” folder, which stands for the user that is currently signed-in, is the only folder that contains readable items... All other earlier numerous temporary “user” folders, which represented all those times that I logged in earlier (which had wiped out), all contained encrypted files which cannot be opened by any app or software, and they are saved in hidden folders inside those earlier temporary “user” folders.

..
Please, is there any way I can correct this anomaly??

i think your pc may be running in kiosk mode

if so

How to disable kiosk mode on Windows 10

Open Settings.
Click on Accounts.
Click on Family & other users.
Under "Set up a kiosk," click the Assigned access button.
Under "Kiosk info," select the account, and click the Remove kiosk button.
Click the Remove button.

Lol. That experience is rather dubious.
From your second sentence, You apparently have no idea how windows profiles even handles files.

FYI, this failure to login on windows properly is a well known and documented for about a decade now. That you throw the word "rootkit" up and daan is laffable.

You still have a lot of learning to do.

The issue with your system is that it cannot log into your account and creates temporary profile for you. This can be resolved by going to the registry to delete the temporary file origin.
