Just be thanking God, you are very lucky. When they did this to me, they removed all four roller from doors, removed my battery, removed my brain box, removed my 2side mirrors, removed my back lights, stole two shoes from my booth(my car is like my house, that's where I keep my shoes and lots of other things)

When I checked properly, I found out that brain box, the driver side glass button and passenger button were all stolen.

I am so pained, this is happening after spending over 500k to fix and replace the engine.


Pls what should I do now, I need to make a critical decision on this Corolla of a thing. I really needs your advice.

1.replace the stolen stuff
2. Get yourself a well secured environment. I have a friend that parks his car in my house cos of thus same issue.
3. You may decide to sell the car and get yourself something thief won't ve able to steal its parts
4. If you decide to sell , contact me I will buy. But is important you take the best decision cos is not easy to get a new car cos of high cost. Fix it and always park it in secure area . If you live alone in a compound ...buy two dogs ...petty thieves hate dog

Something like this happened to later I discover it's my mechanic that did it... I almost roast the ediot.. He replaced everything with Abeg you.

The brain box is located at an open place on the passenger side, even a child of 10 years can easily remove it.

Meanwhile, some corolla can be so selective of brain box, it took me a relentless effort and over 2 months to get a braonbox that really match mine, I hope your brain box is not K2, K2 is so rare and most expensive in market right now. You can get a good standard brain box for like 35 to 40k.

The entire replacement won't cost you more than 50k. Where u are likely going to have some problem is paying for these boys to program brain box on test run for you. I had to learn to programs brain box myself and bypass paying for every brain box installed on test run.

Install after-market alarm system; you know those noisy ones that trigger if the door is opened. The factory systems just immobilize the car but dont sound an alarm if broken into.

Park in a safe area; these cars are not safe parked on the street.

when they tell people to buy German cars like Benz dem go run. A Mercedes Benz alarm will trigger and will keep beeping the worst part, is you can't drive the car again

Ok I always pay via transfer for goods and services for receipt purposes as well someone had access to my phone and removed it imagine but it’s UK Based nigga lives on my street imagine returned phone because I locked it too family plan na baba if I didn’t think to do it I would have lost both . So even if they stole the receipt the bank can show the record and my sales guy has a copy of the receipt. They will have the day it was the day it was registered and iCloud info as well.

From experience, if your car gets vandalized not long after you do general maintenance on it.

All fingers point to your mechanics and spare parts dealers that was involved.

5k insurance is 3rd party. Doesn’t cover this and most of the 5k stuff are fake too. Ignorance is a problem in this Nigeria. While i was in Nigeria i had a camry big daddy, insured it 50k first year, last year was about 35k, i claimed over 100k from them . All my friends with insurance same. They never came to verify once. Stop all this nonsense talks. A friend moved to yaba from abuja and face same thing. Insurance paid for all the parts stolen
