Aftermath Of PDP Presidential Convention: What Happens To Iyorchia Ayu? by larryUG(m): 8:36am On May 30, 2022 |
Now that Atiku, a northerner has won PDP primaries, what becomes of Ayu, who is also a Northerner as the party chairman? By convention, the party chairman and president should be from 2 opposing zones of North/south. Will Ayu resign now and the Deputy National Chairman takes over or will PDP wait for Atiku to win 1st before taking a decision? Lalasticlala |

larryUG: He will leave office and Deputy National Chairman South, who is from Southwest, will become the National Chairman. That Wike fought for the removal of Secondus only to support the installation of Atiku’s Man Friday, Iyiorcha Ayu, who resigned his ministerial position to support Atiku in 2007, shows how shortsighted he is. Ayu is Atiku’s man anytime any day. You can imagine him going with Atiku to thank Tambuwal for stepping down for Atiku. Is an unbiased National Chairman supposed to do that? 1 Like |

He will step down for Southern candidate to attain the Pdp chairman. Well calculated move by Northern Pdp |

Penguin2: Very short sighted Wike. I was saying it before the Pdp convention that as long as Pdp would be throwing their presidential ticket open, South should contest the party chairman but Wike thought he could win cos he has Rivers money in his possession |

Penguin2:Nice. I was not aware how close Ayu is to Atiku until now that you pointed it out. However, accompanying Atiku to Tambuwal, IMO, isnt really a bad idea or portrays him as biased. My reason is he is the national chair and Atiku is the flagbearer. Atiku will go on a tour to thank other aspirants, party leaders and governors, and Naturally, he should start 1st with who stepped down for him. I still think Ayu will accompany him to thank Saraki and the rest. |

helinues: Don’t mind him. He thinks northerners can be bought with money the way southerners easily sell their brothers to the north for pot of porridge. And that he supported Ayu, an Atiku supporter, for the chairmanship position shows how stupid he is. Now Ayu’s NWC threw the ticket open instead of zoning to south. He’s been served the consequence of his action. Tinubu is next. 1 Like 1 Share |

Penguin2:Wike's style of politics can be likened to teenager suffering from juvenile delinquency. No form of tact or decorum. |

larryUG: No logic No rationality Just crude Uncivil Unrefined And you wonder how he qualified as a lawyer. Apart from those he bought with his money, nobody can genuinely stand with Wike because of his character or person. |
