If Osinbajo emerged as APC Presidential candidate,, He will win Atiku and Peter Obi.

But if any other candidates emerged,, Atiku of PDP will win the election.

Nigerian students should be hopeful of next government not this one.

Cabals don't care about what they won't gain anything from.

Osibanjo won't win apc nomination.

He is a typical nigerian technocrat. Not a politician

When technocrats try to drag street with politicians, they lose and lose badly

Fg should better privatize this schools public/private partnership with a demand to bring about great innovative ideas and accomplishment every 10years ....Industrial and classroom approach to learning no more cramming and pouring system as a way of judging intelligence ....Learning should be done to encourage innovation and creativity in solving national problems ......It we go by this for next 20years every University would be able to Fund itself from the value they create for the society..

What is written on the books you read in Nigerian universities, is it now western education theories?

Go and collect your tuition fees back, your education is a waste.

see as ASUU is sticking together there is no muslim lecturer no christian lecturer. They are all sticking together against a common "enemy" the government. But when it comes to the youth we start the game of division, we just da start by the time the so called youthful president we are clamouring for gets there na den we go know kaki no be leather. ASUU do not yield to the government make sure u achieve ur aim.

1) ASUU has been meeting FGN representatives at three different levels: Prof. Briggs renegotiation committee, Minister of education and his team, and the Tripartite plus committee.

2) Substantial progress has been made on ALL the issues in contention however, the union is yet to disclose details to members.

3) Even though details of FGN proposal were not made available to ASUU members, the union conducted nationwide branche congress meetings last week to update members on development. The body language of ASUU leaders at those congresses is that of euphoria.

4) The union was to meet Prof Briggs committee last Thursday, it appears from this article that that meeting took place and probably a follow-up on Saturday.

5) The union is to hold another branche congress this week. From my previous experience the congress will most likely divide the fate of the strike.

6) If (5) above occur, then the union may summon an emergency NEC over the weekend. The outcome of any emergency NEC meeting at this critical time will most likely be suspension of strike.

NB: This is my personal opinion based on the little information I have concerning the strike.

I hope this help!

Good idea, until the fees shoot up.

Nigerians don't want to pay high fees , which is a big reason for underfunded universities and repeated ASUU strikes.

One former minister of education wanted to do same for unity schools. Resulting high fees shot the thing down.

Once you privatize something, whether wholly or public private, investor must recoup investment.

Now its time for negotiations and its their salary and wages that are top of the list.

if i am the President,
i will pay ASSU all their outstanding bills but ASUU must be scrapped.
if any university is having issue with the govt, they should confront the govt themselves.
you shouldn't gang up hold others ransom to achieve ur demands.

Hello Nigeria youth, things don't work that way.

You think ASUU is not backed by the Constitution?
How do you think the Nigeria government that we know can be confronted about labour issues?

Think again, and think well.

Hahahaha! Like ASUU didn't spend almost a year on strike when PDP was in power. It was so bad that public universities erased one year school calendar. So much for your government that said Book is not haram

If the little amount as school fees by the students in public schools is the problem and paying higher tuition fees is the solution as both of you have agreed, I wonder why many private universities with outrageous tuition fees are not making visible difference

They are, slowly, but they are.

Eventually in ten years we would see the difference.

Or you want to keep pretending that all is well with our government owned universities?
