During the second republic between 1979 to 1983,in Kaduna state during the administration of Balarabe Musa as governor of the state. He was elected under the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP),the man get brilliant ideas on how to move the state forward, but the obstacles on his way is the fact that the state House of Assembly was dominated by National Party of Nigeria (NPN).
From the inception of Balarabe Musa's administration on October 1st 1979,he was always at loggerhead with the state House of Assembly, the NPN dominated House always block every Bills sent to the House for consent, thereby stagnating the growth of the state.
It got to point that his list of commissioners were rejected thrice. He didn't enjoy the running of his government, before he was eventually impeached on June 23rd 1981,less than two years into his administration.
Just like Peter Obi,Balarabe Musa was very careful and spartan with the state treasury,he refused to bribe the House to pass bills sent to them for consent.
So,as you guys are campaigning for Obi's presidency, also endeavor to campaign for every available position at all level under the Labour Party,if not it will be an exercise in futility if the National Assembly is dominated by opposition.
The energy you are using in campaigning for Peter Obi should be use for other candidates under the party especially at the national level so as to make the job easier for Obi if he eventually become president.
My two cent though.
Meanwhile,I am still undecided,February is still a long way away,I will make my decision before then.
Peace.

I'm supporting Peter Obi not because I'm 100% confident he will win. Nigeria needs to change the narratives of elections in this country. That way, the leaders will begin to take the people serious.

Even if Obi comes third, but with millions of votes, it will be one of the greatest political statements the people have ever made.

It will set the tone for subsequent elections in the country and make people believe that their collective votes can make a difference.

But if he wins, it will even be a bigger achievement.

Regarding how he copes with the national assembly, it's one step at a time.

Let him cross the bridge first, then we will know from there.

I won't like what happened to Balarabe Musa to repeat itself with Peter Obi.

Great advice.
But let's cross that bridge when we get there.

On a lighter note, Nigerian politicians seem to be experts at changing political parties so if Obi wins, which I strongly believe he will, others will join him at labour party and pretend it's for the good of the country.

Like I said, it's better to get the presidency first before worrying about what comes afterward.

Nice one there!

That's why I still advice LP to coalesce with PDP. It be a master stroke that will shake the APC to its marrow.

A combination of Atiku and Obi already has 11.2 million people. They should consolidate on that.

Obi may be a principled man with good ideas But unfortunately, Obi won't even win SE.
