Now i believe you have credible source. fact remind that NSITF need funding to take off.even though it is a self sustaining institution,d pension reform act had stripe it of its lucrative biz and it bin partially out of biz. For it to carry this new cross, Govt, must give it the necessary support. Those are the words of my Source.

@Notfree; Thanks. It is not really funds per se but there is a lot of pressure from politicians on the MD who is on acting capacity
and needs to play ball to be confirmed for their slots to be increased especially those that did not apply at all and not even qualified.
By and large NSITF needs us more than we need them cos their over 38billion naira is been tied down, which is the 1% contribution
by FG staff, so without employing they cannot move forward for now. By God's divine favour and grace we shall overcome.

@ Broncop: I appreciate your unflinching contributions while keeping our 'hopes' alive for this job. What rather baffles me is the near absence of enabling infrastructure for NSITF and the new ECS to take off. You will agree with me that most of their offices are somehow deserted and lacked modern office equipments to facilitate and enable good working environment for the teeming prospective staff to once again bring to life the organisation. Which brings us to the question whether the February date is even foreseeable for the institution to take off? Then for the purpose of clarification from your submissions, how on earth is the Federal Government owing the sum of N38 billion being 1% contribution of the total Federal payroll when the ECS has not been officially launched or taken off? Infact, the last i gathered was that the date for the official commencement of the scheme as provided for under the Employees' Compensation Act, 2010 is still inconclusive or uncertain. Based on the available reports, Federal Government has only 'allegedly' set aside N9 billion for the take off of the scheme by NSITF. In any case, we all hope for the best and praying that 'these politicians' will not usurp the process to our own detriment. We have waited for so long to loose out. We shall all smile at the end of it all. Let's keep the flame of hope burning.

The Acting MD of NSITF i learnt travelled out of the country all this while is back.
Lets hope he swings to action immediately, before the politicians hijack the

I called my friend who informed that on of their boss lost the mum so everybody seem to travelling for the burial which is on monday and tuesday.

I think everything might still be on course coz I remember a post I saw on anoda forum and the guy said his source told him dt the only thing delaying the letters is the grant from FG and the constitution of a new NSITF board. Since jybz said the grant has been given according to his source and beene's update is dt the board has been dissolved, I believe everything is still on track. Once the new board is constituted, the next thing will definitely be offer letters. All is well. Let's continue to cover our letters with the blood of jesus. See u at the orientation

The news of dissolution of nsitf board is online, with stakeholders even clamouring for insurance professionals to be on the new board. I just pray something positive happens fast.

yes i posted something based on thisday of 14/12/2011 concerning the dissolution of the board of nsift.so am urging members of this forum to wake up and start writing to Mr president via face book or any means to get him on the subject matter of not calling us since after the chat of Sept in-order to avoid the bad once to hijack the whole process. in fact the president have made it easy by including contact in his Facebook meaning you can send him a direct mail via face book by clicking contact me.remember Facebook have help allot of youth such as airtel staff that was sacked, the current fuel subsidy among other.he reads the mails and also comment on them.this is about employment and remember is part of his on going transformation.if will don't write and comment on the issue, the cabal in the villa will hijack the process.now the insurance sectors are clamoring for representative at the nsitf board and at the end of the day they will get it. DANTO i welcome Ur suggestion,cant will send comment to newspaper media to attract the president telling him how will paid 1000 naira,calling us for the exams and there after for a chat at Abuja and Lagos which most of us came from far northern,southern and eastern part of the country for the chat,up-till now nothing have be done.watch out he will react to that.wake up,wake up,wake up.GOD WILL HELP US ALL AND HE WILL DIRECT OUR WAYS FOR US AMEN AND AMEN.THANKS.

I still think the dissolution of the board is part of the government making NSITF to flag off on a strong footing. The members of the old board may lack the technical know to carry on with the new mandate NSITF has been given. I still believe we will be called soon and that a lot of work is going on underground to reform NSITF, afterall, we have not heard that other pple have been called to resume?.
