hello house,i want to introduce a developer'sforum on my new website and i need your advices and how to go about it. thanks alot.

What platform is your website built on? Joomla has a free forum addon. Drupal and wordpress also have free forum add-ons. Several forum scripts are free including smf on which NL runs.

@IBEXY, what happens is that i just got the domain name hosted on the syskay systems server. they have this fantastico and softtaculous script installers,i think the cpanel doesn't have the joomla and drupal CMS softwares except am goin to integrate them into my cpanel but can you help me on how to integrate the joomla software into my cpanel. i have the software zip file and i hope to take it up from there just help point the direction. i really want to know this myself so it doesn't become a mirage for me when something else happens. thanks and i will be expecting your reply.

The usual process is to Extract the Zip into a your www or Folder where you want to install the forum.
Example: yousite.com/forum
The files extracted should have a install.php file (smf) check to see what joomla calls it's installation file. Then point ur browser to yoursite.com/install.php or yoursite.com/forum/install.php (depends on where u extracted the zip)
And that's it, you follow the onscreen instructions from there.

thanks alot soki2ng. i just installed the joomla into the directory as you specified. i know its a lot of work but i will surely get there.

I guess phpbb script is also free to use. The best script for forums is vBulletin which is paid btw

you can upload a forum script directly from your cpanel using fantatico dilux,,, you may try SMF then update or upgrade it. if you need more details ask it, or if you want to learn how to do it manually,
