It was a hilarious moment for me in particular
So I entered this little Lagos eatery on the Island and met two guys there, I made a request for Indomie and chicken and base on the fact that I have established a good friendly rapport with them, when the Indomie was served with fork, I requested for a knife cutlery and look at what I got grin grin

Make I nor lie shall, the Indomie sweet well well smiley

Knife( kitchen knife in your case) should be on the righthand Oga

De eatery name na "Chop and chook" grin

As an African man, nothing concern me with cutlery... I request for water, wash my hands, chop my chicken and chop the bones, wash hands, clean mouth, rub hand for head or legs, carry toothpick chook for mouth... Bounce out like a king.

On another note, how do grown men eat Indomie? that's the last thing I'll ever buy with my money

Lol....that knife is your bonus for patronizing them.
It's a take away gift. When you're done eating, just put the knife in your bag and go with it.

The knife to cut the chicken to compliment the plastic fork.

No offense pls, but we need to stop correcting people's english. The important thing is that his message is well understood.

We are losing our local languages daily, I think we should put more energy into reviving them and teaching the little kids, instead of speaking more foreign language.

Pls don't insult me o, just a piece of advice.

English is our official national language sir

And are you proud of it?
Very soon, by God's grace Nigeria will break up into nations and then we can stop being subhuman to the whites.

This is what our forefathers went thru in the hands of those same English people.
So even if we're forced to speak d language, we shouldn't be proud of it to the point of correcting people's errors, that's my point.
Let them make their errors in peace.

What language could we have used as national language in a country of diverse ethnicity and multiple languages?

Nigeria was imposed on us by our slave masters, and they imposed their language on us.
The fact that we were born into this unfortunate situation doesn't make it right.
It's now left to us to either continue to live in their shadow or put our future in our hands.
Each nation in Nigeria is big enough to stand alone, our population is way more than that of those that merged us together.

So in essence, it's bad enough that we have bound to speak their language.
But being proud of it and mocking people who can't speak it is what I have a problem with.
Hope you get me.
