The father of three kids abducted by gunmen in Kogi State, Abu Abdulkadiri, has shared his family's ordeal at the hands of their attackers. Speaking on AIT News, Abu revealed how he tried to resist the heavily armed men after one of them tried to open his kitchen window

Sharing his ordeal, Abu said, "My wife came to inform me of strange noises at the back of the house. I told her to wait while I investigated what was happening. I proceeded to my kitchen, where I saw a hand trying to open the window. However, the gunmen started shooting sporadically when I reached for my cutlass. They continued shooting for more than two hours while trying to figure out how to break into my home

He continued, "They eventually broke one of the window panes (photo below) and invaded my residence. The armed men proceeded into the room where they abducted my three kids. However, my wife and I had left the room with our twins.
They absconded with two of my sons and a daughter. Those kids are still with the abductors who are demanding a N100 million ransom, which I can not provide. I do not have the means to raise such an amount as I only engage in petty trading here in Ajaokuta.
