How Do I Go About This? >:( by Flipman01(m): 5:31am On Aug 14, 2022
It was a long night of rumination and I realised that, slowly, I'm slipping more into depression and anxiety.

I have a challenge that has been given me sleepless nights. And that has been affecting my academic performance in a terrible way.

I'm a student of one of the state universities, a top-performer and well-behaved in my academic doings. I'm a rookie photographer (still learning) and also work in cyber cafe to support myself. With little support from relatives due to my humble background, I've been unable to meet up with other needs which don't really matter.

However, my major problem now is that I couldn't raise my tuition fees and the school has declared carryover for those that didn't pay. It's frustrating for me because I might be spending an extra year because of lack of finance and not due to unseriousness or grievous offences. It really hurts me. I could barely concentrate anymore, I don't know what to do.

I just need someone to talk to. I think I'm losing it already. sad

How come you got into school and you are doing well and all of sudden you need money to pay your school fees despite your brilliant performance as you stated

What about your parents are they not aware you are a student and you need money to pay for school fees

Some factors got in the mix. I am being raised only by my mom as dad died a long time ago. All was fine until she got sick (partial stroke) last year. She sells yam. Her health took a toll on her business and that affected me too.

I write assignments and other typing works to feed and pay rent but not enough to pay the fees. Not like the pay was even enough to cater for my immediate basic needs in the first place.

Being a strong 4-pointer CGPA student, I can't help but feel bad. embarassed
