Not their fault. They levied those stations at a higher rate

A very insensitive and irrational comment to make. You could have nicely spoken for yourself.

Each station provides employment to hundreds of workers who are now thrown like swines into the dead job market.

Each worker commutes to work every day and thereby providing opportunities for trabsport companies.
Each station is run by generators periodically serviced by technicians who now have no contract.

Each station pays taxes to the government and royalties to artists or music companies.

Each station employs content writers, sound engineers, voice-over artists, lighting technicians etc these are jobs with limited availability on the job market.

Each station has contracts endorsed with partners or sponsors which will currently end up in court or settled out.

Ain't got much time to list on.

Read the above and see how well you should have framed your thought to accommodate feeling or humanity.
I'm not the cause of your problem count me out

They know the penalty and agreed with the guidelines governing operating their broadcast stations as such the license should be revoked with no further delay!

This administration is one hell of a funny administration

They should go and renew their licences.

They can't just sit on frequencies and not renew for their licences.

That's how people support law breakers and criminals just because they hate the govt.

this is huge. the government that cannot create jobs, yet depriving nigerians legitimate sources of livelihood, thereby creating more illegitimate or unwilling criminals in the nation, just because this government is determined to gag the press and frustrate freedom of expression, especially as the election campaign begin next month, after all they have nothing tangible to tell nigerians, so they don't really want these stations to help highlights their failings in governance.
may APC never happen to nigerians again.

Not my favourite oldies station "Classic FM".

Well, things are already bad as it is. With the hike in prices of diesel and a host of other running costs. So some of them may find it an arduous task to meet up with this obligation. But they need to pay what they owe.

Clearly the Fulani administered FG need more money after they have successfully balkanized the entire common patrimony of the country, hence they just remembered that some people are also owing them money for operating licences. Remember that they have also "vowed" to increase the tax on telecommunication equipments and on call and data, inconveniences which the end user (Nigerians) will ultimately bear. But truth be told, this method has always been the manner of approach of any Fulani administered entity.

This is the true story. Some people are resistant to change for the better, and the Fulanis appear to be one of such groups. As far back as the 1900s, Lord Lugard had written a memo to Queen Elizabeth on the three major ethic tribalities of the entity Nigeria (not yet a country as at then).

In the memo, he talked about the Yorùbás of the SW, the Igbos of the SE and the Fulani administered colonies of the Northern protectorate.

He specifically noted that the Fulanis were a group who were brutal in governance, creating a small clique of privileged that preys on the common patrimony of the majority. According to him, the members of this privileged do not work and therefore have no input into the development and the economy of their people. They survive by imposition of taxes on the citizens to continue to fund their avaricious lifestyles until such point that the citizens are left with little or nothing.

I won't state what the memo says about the two other major tubes here, but I assure you that they are much better and impressive assessments. This is the primary reason the British were more comfortable with handling over the reigns of the country into the hands of the least sophisticated of the three major ethnicities, that is the one that will not question their actions or motives.

I have been trying to get the full volumes of this memo but the resource is only available on institutional login in the British library. I hope to be able to have time to visit the place in person one of these days.
i want to read more about this his memo where can I?

Is 3 months not enough to get their license renewed? The federal government I can't remember is owing her workers.

When the federal government do not make the environment conducive for bussinesses to strive..this radio stations are struggling to survive the hard economy...no constant electricity light, using disel to power their radio station. They are running in a lose.. due to the bad economy and how do you expect them to have the money to pay their licenses
Re: Full List Of The Stations NBC Revoked Their Licences by ufotunang: 5:53pm On Aug 19, 2022

Lol...so they should not renew their licence?

You Nigerians would be complaining about people not following the rules...then when there is enforcement of the same rules...you would still complain.

Those broadcast houses knew the rules when they signed up with NBC to broadcast.
