Oh no! angry

Not my favourite oldies station "Classic FM".

Well, things are already bad as it is. With the hike in prices of diesel and a host of other running costs. So some of them may find it an arduous task to meet up with this obligation. But they need to pay what they owe.

Clearly the Fulani administered FG need more money after they have successfully balkanized the entire common patrimony of the country, hence they just remembered that some people are also owing them money for operating licences. Remember that they have also "vowed" to increase the tax on telecommunication equipments and on call and data, inconveniences which the end user (Nigerians) will ultimately bear. But truth be told, this method has always been the manner of approach of any Fulani administered entity.

This is the true story. Some people are resistant to change for the better, and the Fulanis appear to be one of such groups. As far back as the 1900s, Lord Lugard had written a memo to Queen Elizabeth on the three major ethic tribalities of the entity Nigeria (not yet a country as at then).

In the memo, he talked about the Yorùbás of the SW, the Igbos of the SE and the Fulani administered colonies of the Northern protectorate.

He specifically noted that the Fulanis were a group who were brutal in governance, creating a small clique of privileged that preys on the common patrimony of the majority. According to him, the members of this privileged do not work and therefore have no input into the development and the economy of their people. They survive by imposition of taxes on the citizens to continue to fund their avaricious lifestyles until such point that the citizens are left with little or nothing.

I won't state what the memo says about the two other major tubes here, but I assure you that they are much better and impressive assessments. This is the primary reason the British were more comfortable with handling over the reigns of the country into the hands of the least sophisticated of the three major ethnicities, that is the one that will not question their actions or motives.

I have been trying to get the full volumes of this memo but the resource is only available on institutional login in the British library. I hope to be able to have time to visit the place in person one of these days.

LOL...so you wrote all this long memo to justify people breaking the law regarding licences.

You Nigerians...y'all deserve the lawless state you get.

Let them go and pay their licence fee. Simple. LET THEM PAY THEIR LICENCE FEES.

As for needing money...part of the reason why we have issues is because people don't pay their statutory taxes and such as and at when due.. Once upon a time, we were able to cover this by high oil revenue...not anymore

People like you is the reason I fear Nigeria will never be good. You sit at the corner of your home, hustling to make FTC on Nairaland and spill trash every time you are successful.

If companies don't pay their taxes, how will the government have funds to run the country you bloody reta*d?

Obviously you didn't read the post. You lazy Nigerian youth. What was more important to you was making front page. A typical Peter Obi supporter

It's funny how many people see this as either attack against stations owned by opposition, or attack against stations owned be a certain region.

It shows people don't read and just prefer to band wagon with the first few responses whether they make sense or not.

You own broadcast stations and are expected to renew freq licenses, you were given warnings in May, and you did nothing, now regulator struck and you are crying wolf!

How do you defend lawlessness Do you know how seriously countries treat assigned broadcast licenses and frequencies??

This list shows the defaulters and they are spread around the country. Don't tag it a war against anyone.
Imagine you subscribe to dstv and you don't want to pay the next month, why will you cry wolf when you're disconnected
