Beans, onions, pepper, groundout, cowpea, yam, cow meat, and milk, wheat, millet, tomatoes, corn, soybeans and rice. And many more. It's not that we don't produce these crops here but what we are consuming is far more than what we produce.

you know the common economics law "the higher the price the lower the demand" and as an alternative people would go for other utility goods and to replace those goods government can help local farmers or enterprise to setup their commercial farming
