This is to all those who call Ebonyi people uneducated, backward. Ebonyi also did well in WAEC yet they say Dave Umahi focuses only on infrastructure.

You realize that people send their kids to other places with better work or apprentice jobs, rather than send them to school right?

Keep deceiving yourself with mumu out of school children.... Check the statistics of best performing in WAEC and also Institutions Performance individually, then give me feedback.

Make inquiry on the state of origin of those out of school children and give me the result.. Onitsha alone has not less than 60% of non Anambrarian street hustlers

I be Onitsha Indigene while my mom is from Awka.... From Onitsha to Awka is filled with non Anambra street hawkers.

The fact is that S.E remain the best by regional and individual Education Performance followed by S.W

WAEC performance by states and regions

https://mobile.twitter.com/StatiSense/status/1560525613156499458?s=20&t=NgQV_8Yn5ByzU0e9h4jM-w

What you have there in Statisense is the percentage of people that have 5 credits and above relative to the total number of people that say for the exams.

Those data was derived from the NBS data which was released in this August by NBS.

The chart I shared you is the actual count of students that sat for those exams and those that passed with 5 credits and above.

For example, it is seen that more SW students have 5 credits and above than every other region in Nigeria. Infact Lagos, Oyo, and Ogun make up the first 4 states that got the highest number of students that passed WAEC.

However, if you look at the data by percentage which is what Statisense did, states in the SS & SE have more percentage of student that passed more than the SW.

Both metrics is good based on what you chose to do with the data.

For example, if I have money that I want to spend to build a new university.

I will go to the SW simply because they have the highest number of students that are leaving secondary schools and they go the highest number of students that have 5 credits and above.

The data also showed that the SW is the only region where the number of student doing WAEC in private schools is more than those in public schools. That mean I can set up a private secondary school in the SW and make more gain because it seems they have more purchasing power to pay for private schools.

Do you understand what I’m trying to say?
